8 days!

This is my first trip with alone with my youngest. I did one with my two older children, so he's been waiting for "his turn" for a long time. I get sick on some of the rides now, so I'm not sure we'll handle that yet ;). He's 11, so I think I'm going to have him ride some of them by himself. I really don't want to take anything because being sleepy in the parks doesn't sound like too much fun :sad2:. Does anyone have experience with less drowsy dramamine? The regular stuff knocks me out.

I have the same problem, so I don't typically ride coasters, etc. The non-drowsy version usually works ok. BUT I took it before a sailing trip once, and got sick anyway. I really don't think it is as strong. However, I have never tried it on rides.

That's just not worth it :sad2:. I love the thrill rides, but my middle aged body is just not going for it. Its almost funny thinking about someone having to sit on the ground, but I know all too well how awful it can feel. The last time I rode EE, I prayed out loud to not throw up - with no thought for how I might be embarrassing myself. It must have been a bummer for your husband to have to sit in first aid on a Disney Day. I guess I'll buy the dramamine.

He's always been a little motion sick but it seemed to increase with age. He once had acupuncture on a cruise ship to help with severe motion sickness and he was absolutely fine for the next 8 days of cruising!! I never would have thought it would work, but the crew said they swear by it, and the Spa did it and he was 100% better by the next day:)
I'm sorry you have to deal with that, because I see how miserable it can get with my hubby.
One tip I highly recommend is to take it a good hour prior to riding anything you are worried about. It's one of those things that simply won't work once you are already feeling sick. It does it's job much better if your body has time to absorb it:)

One more client meeting and then we're off!! Of course the client is running late. :( why is it when you want to go go go the rest of the world is like whomp! Road Block! This too shall pass but I just want to be on my way home!

Count me in!! SINGLE DIGIT DANCE!! They really should add the icons on the app. I NEED creepy dancing guy!! This also means its time to start obsessing over the weather I have no control over. Lol.

I also recommend raincoats. In my experience it will help guarantee no rain. Lol

Having a slight panic attack!! I'm positive I accidentally threw out our Mickey Mail!! Pretty sure I'm suffering from early dementia or attention deficit disorder. I threw out DH coffee cup the other day but realized it as I was looking at it in trash :guilty: Anyone else ever do this?! We are 1 week out and I'm guessing the Magical Express tags are all that I'm really going to be missing?

It's ok. Im the same way lately.I was on the phone with my friend earlier and my tiny attention span completely went away. He stopped me and goes "how many days til your trip?" "8" "ah so that's why you're acting like a crazy person"

If you did, no worry. You will just have to get your bags, and head to ME. They can print off the ME tickets there.

If you booked a package then there are discount coupons in one of the booklets. You could probably ask at check in if they have an extra book.

Thanks y'all for helping a girl out ;) I talked with my TA who contacted Disney. They will have a new packet waiting for us at the desk at check-in and as far as the Magical Express, she said to take my baggage claim tickets to the Disney welcome desk and they will scan them no problem. Dodged a bullet :duck::duck: :rotfl: So another hypothetical paranoid question. There are slight rumblings in the weather world of a winter storm next weekend...BIG surprise in my world  So if we were to fly down a day early would our free dining be honored for that night too?

Only if you can extend the package before the 72 hour window.

Thank you! And I'll keep you updated because if you are in Ohio, you are in it's line of fire too. Obviously it's too early to know anything for sure. But I don't like even having a possibility :headache:

Guest services might be able to extend within that window too the more I think about it. As long as they extend the pkg you will extend the free dining :)

We are driving out on 2/22 come hell or high water lmao. Level 3 snow emergency? Pfft

I don't know about the free dining being extended. We ended up flying out a night early for our February trip in 2011. I ended up just adding a night at a value with the discount that was out and moving to our resort the next morning which started our free dining at check in.

I don't even want to think about snowstorms next weekend.:sad2:
Last time as soon as I saw it was coming I hopped on the computer and moved our flight back a day for less money than I had paid, which was nice.
Now that flights are so high I'd have to wait for an official advisory to try and switch and not be charged extra and I would hate to wait that long. As soon as I hear it's coming I want to be out of here. Like aaarcher.. I am leaving on the 22nd no matter what. Even if we have to start driving.

... and I just looked at the weather. They issued a freeze watch for Orlando this weekend until Sunday. They are expecting the coldest temps of the year.

Exactly this time next week I will be checking in!!!
I need to stop posting to myself on this thread and start packing but I don't want to:rotfl2:
