*** New Official February 2013 Thread ***

RE: I have read some of the posts by people about Feb. 2-Feb 10 and how busy the resorts are going to be. We will have our car with us. Do you think we should plan on driving to the parks to avoid the crazy bus waits?

Touring Plans still list this week as low to moderate crowds. Do you think disney releases only a percent of rooms for a discount so that is why no more rooms are available for pin codes or discounts? Or, due to discounts that value and moderates are full but deluxe are not?

We will be there from Feb 2-10 as well.
The reason that a lot of the resorts are booked is because there is a cheerleading/Dance competition both of those weekends. The Cheerleaders/dancers are staying at the all-stars and CBR, so that does not leave a lot of room for other guests so other resorts are filling up. We have been there during the time when cheerleaders are there and it really does not affect the parks as much as the resorts.
However if you are staying at a Value or CBR you may want to drive because every time we walked past the bus stops for the All-stars or CBR they were full of cheerleaders/dancers and seemed like a long wait.

10 degrees here this morning when I dropped my dd off at school. We're doing the SINGLE DIGIT dance extra enthusiastically this morning! :cool1:

Mickey Mail came today :cool1: The girls started screaming and jumping up and down! VALIDATION!!!

Finally - the reaction you wanted :cool1:

I'm still waiting for my validation, though. My DH acts like he's getting dragged to WDW against his will (even though he enjoys the trips). He rolls his eyes if I mention anything "Disney", he never wants to offer input, or discuss the trip at all. Now I think that's rubbing off on the kids a little bit. :rolleyes2

We, Mom's just need a teeeny bit of a sense that they LOVE all we're putting in to this trip. Hope mine comes every minute while we are there....I'm not asking for much, huh?! :rotfl2:

Not sure if I aleady asked you what part of NEPA you're from or not. But we must be close to eachother (I'm in Wyoming/Bradford County Line) And today it was 3 degrees when we walked out the door. Warmed up to 6 by the time I got to work though ;-)

Sorry...this post was for Biancabernard&penny :goodvibes

I have decided that it can be in the 60's the entire time we're in Florida, and I won't care. Because anything is better than the single digit temps and below zero windchills we are having right now. 8 days to go!! =)

Not NEPA, just EPA. Lehigh Valley area. So our temp is still in double digits but our ice rink is finally frozen solid. Not too too cold to actually skate, though. I was afraid that Murphy's Fate would have it freeze while I was gone! We like to make the most of the weather we get but can't wait for the warmth!

Awesome!! My DD just said "yay". I sweated blood for this trip (total exaggeration...but between DH and DD they were total bubble poppers) :rotfl2:

My DH is happy that I'm doing all the planning. We have been to WDW many times, so there isn't a lot that I need to run by him except for the ADR's. It was his suggestion to try 'Ohana's because one of his co-workers told him how much their family likes it. Most of the other ADR's are our daughter's choices. She is bringing her family with DS5 and DD3 for their first WDW trip and her agenda is a little different that we would do when traveling without kids. For instance, my DH is not too crazy about the Coral Reef. But I assured him that he can get steak there, so he is staying quiet about it. :)

He likes to hear about the new things I discover here that he didn't know about, like the show in front of Cinderella that is shown before Wishes. And he likes the breakfast options at Roaring Forks, a resort we have never been to. But other than things like that, he doesn't really want to hear it. ;) He just wants to get there because he knows we'll have a great time. :goodvibes

18 here..... Which stinks only because I work as a dog walker so I'm out in it all day :faint:

Eta apparently it dropped to 12.... Sheesh. And there's a windchill. Can I move now?

Mickey Mail is at my TA's office! She offered to mail it but I'm going to pick it up after work because I'm so excited!

Wow, I did not realize there are so many Austinites (Pflugervillians, in my case) heading to Disney in February. How funny! :grouphug:

So very glad we are driving, last thing I want to do on vacation is be stuck on a bus filled with teenage girls. :crazy2:

Here I am 7 1/2 days until we hit the road and I am sitting in the Dr office hoping they don't tell me I have the flu. :(
The weather is really nice today here in New Orleans. It's 65 and feels wonderful with the sun shine.
I really need to stop checking the accuweather site. It is making me crazy, rain, no rain. They need to make up their minds. Lol
