What truly boggles my mind is that a company that has made it's name in entertainment and cutting edge technology, can have such horrible recordings for the on hold music. It must be a ploy to get you to hang up! :confused3

Lol. Reminds me when I was on hold changing to the package plan, one of the announcements mentioned something special happening throughout 2009. I laughed out loud.

Boardwalk Inn is also completely booked when I was looking at our dates (2/2-2/10)
I just checked and a standard room at Boardwalk Inn was available for our dates (2/5-2/11). So maybe someone checked out on Feb 3rd or 4th, making Feb 5th-11th available. :)

I'm not too worried about crowds the week we are there. It is one of the lowest crowd seasons and it has some of the cheapest rates of the whole year. :) It may mean a wait of 15 minutes for a ride that has a wait time of 120 minutes when it is crowded.

One week countdown!!! So excited!!! Working on packing. I'll be packed unpacked and repacked probably 5 times before we actually leave!

My FIRST Mickey mail came today!!!! I only got my itinerary, Mickey ID tags, and some vouchers. Is it unusual that I didn't receive my airline luggage tags and ME tickets?

35 days

For those of you who have a few weeks left, you can take your mind off of the wait by helping those of us who leave in a week or so. I need help because I KNOW I am forgetting something major. Just don't know what it is yet. ;)

I have never been this "unpacked" with a week to go. I am still not sure about the weather situation. My daughter literally doesn't have the right type of clothes I finally realized (she has 3 pair of shorts and NO capris). I have put on just enough pounds to make me feel a little snug in my summer clothes.

I think I need to make a mall-run this weekend. I am forgetting something else though, I'm sure of it. Give me some ideas. What could it be?!:confused3 LOL.

A day and a half until we hit the road to Port Canaveral for our pre-WDW cruise. Just finished last major project at work today, so it's all loose ends until I leave at 2:00 on Thursday!!!!

They come separately. Ironically I got my ME tickets and luggage tags today but didn't get my package documents yet. And we are at 32 days out. You will get them soon I am sure:)

Ooooh. We are at 33 days! That means I may get something soon!! :cheer2:

I always forget a suit coverup. Pool shoes. Poncho/windbreaker/fleece for outdoors. Sunblock. Lanyard. Medicine kit...

We got ME tags but haven't received anything else and we're 15 days out (yay!).
Will we get anything if we booked through a TA? Does that make a difference? What should I be getting if I should get something?
:confused3

If you booked a package you will get luggage tags (the ones you put your name and address on in case your suitcases get lost) with Mickey on them, a booklet with some coupons etc.

If you booked room only you won't get anything. Because you booked with a TA it goes to them first and then they should pass it on to you. :)

How about sunglasses? :cool1:

We only got the ME airline tags since we booked a room only.

My laptop may still be broken (going to see if it can be fixed tomorrow, fingers crossed!) but one thing made me happy today....

:banana::cool1::dance3::mickeyjum !!! MICKEY MAIL !!! :mickeyjum:dance3::cool1::banana:

I hope everyone with the flu beats it down in time for their trips.

It is presently 5 degrees here in Cleveland this morning (not counting the windchill) and all I can think about is the weather in Disney. Seriously, 50 degrees would be 10 times warmer than what we have right now!!!!

I have read some of the posts by people about Feb. 2-Feb 10 and how busy the resorts are going to be. We will have our car with us. Do you think we should plan on driving to the parks to avoid the crazy bus waits?

Oh and some of you mentioned bringing pool cover ups. Do you think it is going to be warm enough to swim that first week of Feb>? I only ask because the kids already have colds (it is a constant this time of year) and I don't want to make it worse.

Lastly, thanks to everyone for being so positive and welcoming. I will miss having this board after the trip:grouphug:

Touring Plans still list this week as low to moderate crowds. Do you think disney releases only a percent of rooms for a discount so that is why no more rooms are available for pin codes or discounts? Or, due to discounts that value and moderates are full but deluxe are not?

I'm bringing them because our resort pool looks so cool! They say the pools are heated so I'm hopeful we'll use them. Then again, coming from Chicago, I grew up swimming in cold Lake Michigan and unheated park district pools. I'm more worried about if my suit even fits!

We've always gone during the off season and have always taken the bus system because of the low crowds. I have a friend who has gone during busier times and she said this last time they drove to the parks and loved it. Much easier and quicker. The only park she recommended not driving to was MK since you would then have to take the monorail or the ferry. I would say see how it goes.

We went the last week of January 2012 and it was warm....definitely warm enough for swimming. Then we have been during other times and it was too cold for swimming. I say pack what you need for swimming just in case. :thumbsup2

I asked last week on the ASMo thread (since that's where we're staying) and someone said buses were running great. So we're going to try at MK on our 1st day and if it's a bust we'll drive to the rest of the parks.
