Wasn't the free dining offer for 2011 (that had to be booked by 12/20) just through September 2011? I don't recall any general public offers for October - December 2011, just pin codes, so it's probably reasonable to expect them to be offered, right?

No there were no dates offered for Oct - Dec 2011 so there is still a good chance that our offer is yet to come...here's hoping with pixie dust

I think we can assume the first and last week of the typical fd time period had adequate booking already, which doesn't surprise me. First week.... people were always trying to squeeze it in before school started. The last week....... people were trying to hit f/w and hoping to go as late in the fall as the special allowed.

Yeah - unfortunately, like so many disers have said, the free dining dates have been shrinking every year as well as what is included in the package. Now (as mentioned above) we have to pay for a photopass book in order to get free dining.

Sweet. Except we got rid of our DV. So I guess I will need to wait til Monday. I don't mind paying for the book. Now to just figure out what moderate we want. We pefer the QSDP so maybe we will just pocket the savings.

Looks like it is $90.90 more than if you had already booked Free dining when it first came out!

Checked the photopass site and book is less if you purchase it separately.

Nice deal if you don't have free dining..no deal if you already have a discount!

We're going in mid-August and did get the FD pin. I've very glad we got the pin, though it is a cutback in FD because stays at mods get the quick service plan. If a public FD code is released, it'll probably be quick service at both values and mods. It sounds like summer dates are being overlooked this year. : (

I highly doubt they'd change the dates for you. If they did that, why have dates at all? It would be a free-for-all for everyone picking their own dates. I'd love to have this offer for our summer stay, but it isn't happening. Off-season gets better deals.

Sorry the dates don't work for you. I know how much you were hoping I had decided to add 4 nights to the start of my trip on a seperate ressie if this was offered.. not going to happen now. We may try to stay at a Unversal hotel.
Have you thought of renting points? Between doing that and getting the Yes tickets our 8 day package worked out to be almost the same price as staying at a mod with free dining.. except we get to stay at a Deluxe
That may be an option for you if you have a little one who can take the YES class.

May 26th, free dining was already offered for your dates, that promotion expired last December. Sorry!

On Monday night we booked 5 nights, 6 days @ Port Orleans French Quarter from 10/11-1016. These are the only dates which would work for us with my work schedule.

That being said, the CM and I spoke for over an hour about the pin codes I had attached to my name, and the "rumor" of FD in October. He could neither confirm, nor deny .

I then mentioned to the CM that I have read on a certain board that FD might be available soon. He laughed, told me how much he loves the DIS, and told me to keep my eyes open in the next 2 weeks! This CM was great, and I hope he was right.
