Is it too soon to start counting how many more sleeps?!

Well, of course not!!! And I just did my backwards counting on my calendar - 48 DAYS for us!!! :

It is really starting to sink in. We are really going back to Disney next month! Here is our tentative plans:

Oct 28: Arrive at Sanford on Allegiant Air, rent car, drive to POR, check in (to a Royal Room!) and head to EP for our VIA NAPOLI reservation.
Oct 29: MK all day and HOOP DE DOO at 8:30 (first for us!)
Oct 30: HS until close then EP for BIERGARTEN AT 8:30
Oct 31: EP all day and SAN ANGEL INN at 7:00
Nov 01: MK - breakfast CRYSTAL PALACE at 9:55am, lunch at BOG late
Nov 02: AK until we are done, then park hop until they kick us out! Sleep a couple of hours and wake up for our...
Nov 03: drive back to Sanford airport for 7:50am flight. (Ugh!)

I check every day to see if we can get anything at Cinderella's Royal Table. This was a "last minute" trip for us - didn't decide to go until 3 weeks ago - so it's a long shot. But all plans could change if we can get in - my DDs are 16 and 13 and we've never been and they BOTH are dying to do this! DH will go along with anything as long as we are happy! So waiting for a little to come our way!

We are going October 5-12. Arriving Friday night Octobe 4.

I'm super excited and feel like I've been planning for ages.
Booked the trip back in February!
My mom is coming with us and has never been to disney!! And the kids are going back for their 2nd time. THey are 7 & 9 and don't remember alot of their last visit.
My inlaws are going as well so there will be a total of 7 of us.

Staying a Port Orleans Riverside. My inlaws are getting their own room and I Booked a room for 5 of us. So we should get the murphy bed thing! Unfortunately no discounts for us... though.

We are going Fall Break so we have no options of changing the dates and wouldn't you know it there are no discount. I"ve called to check several times to see if any room discounts are available but unfortunately it hasn't happened yet!

Wow! I just read this post of yours and was blown away by all the similarities. I booked our trip back in February, too! We're also going October 5-12 (staying at AoA). Reason because it's also our kids' Fall Break. We too are leaving and driving to FL on October 4th (we booked a hotel about an hour away from Disney for the night). And our kids are 7 and 9! This is our very first trip ever! Our kids have NO CLUE what-so-ever! It's going to be the biggest surprise of their little lives!!! It's getting harder and harder to keep the secret as it gets closer!!!!! I have stuff hidden ALL OVER my house. Planning this trip has been like another full time job because I started out knowing NOTHING except that I needed to plan. But, I have to say that it really has been a lot of fun! I've really enjoyed learning all about the 4 parks and everything there is to do! Now, I'm ready to hit the road!!!!! I'm ready to surprise my kids and watch them experience it all! And my husband and I will be experiencing it all right along with them!!!

We live in Middle Tennessee and our school years are from end of July/beginning of August thru the end of May. This year, our kids started on August 5th and will go thru May 23rd. We get a Fall Break (1 week), Winter Break (2 weeks), and Spring Break (1 week).

That makes sense. We have December(1week), February(1week), and April (1week). I would LOVE to have a 2 week break though!! Although Dec. is a little longer depending on what day Christmas falls on.
We didn't get out of school this year until June 28 b/c of all the snow days!!

My DD 17 and I are arriving on Oct30-Nov4 Beach Club Villa's. We are prob not dressing up but maybe a halloween shirt. "I got Halloween Swagga"LOL. We are taking a trip to celebrate her Senior year of high school!!! We are going to the Dessert party on the 30th that evening!!! Kinda bittersweet!

You two are going to have a BLAST! We are going on an unexpected family trip Oct 28-Nov 3 too - DD17 is a Senior and I didn't think we'd get to go again before she went to college. I am so excited to go again!
And you will LOVE the Dessert Party - we did that last November. Don't eat too much for dinner that night - you will want to arrive hungry!

Here in NW IN, my dd11 started on Aug 20. She gets a long fall weekend end of October (which is when our trip is). School ends about a week into June. She gets 2 days for Thanksgiving, 2 weeks for Christmas, a long weekend in January for semester break & MLK, another long weekend winter break & president's day in February, a week for spring break, Memorial day. There are a couple built in snow makeup days, we'll see what happens with those (unlikely that we'll get a second year with no snow days).

LOL... we are in Mid TN too!! We are in Williamson Cnty, and we are heading down for our DD's Fall Break as well... I was bummed when the codes came out and it didnt include our week but so goes it..we didnt want them to miss too much school! We aren't driving though (hats off to you!!) as our girls only have a long weekend for Fall Break...

Keep an eye on this thread for October ADR Cancellations. I've noticed that Ohana is starting to pop-up more often. Good luck!!!!

I just saw an Ohana for 10/13/13 for 5:10pm for party of 6! You can grab that one and then go in later and modify it down to fit your party if you have less than 6 people!! Hurry and get it!!!!

Thanks got it! Duh!! That what my DH said too. He couldn't believe I didn't know that.
It's actually kinda weird I've been to Disney a LOT and never really had trouble getting an ADR. but then again I'm usually planning earlier than this. Thanks again I'm gonna call later to change the # of people. I think it's so strange that 6 people would come up but not 4! I tried every time for 3 different days but never thought of changing the number of people. ??? You learn something new everyday on the DIS. Lol
