We picked up our new baby yesterday afternoon. So far so good ... a few #1 accidents but no #2! It is a handful with the baby and the pup but hopefully after the first few weeks things will settle down!!

I think she is going to be my DS's dog ... she follows him around (like a puppy!!) and he LOVES her.

She already found the water bowl and went swimming!! I had to move it so my DS doesn't fall down running through the lake in the kitchen.

Yes, the paws!! I know .... :scared1: Her mom is 120-140 and her father is 160.

Oh. My. Goodness. SOOO cute!!! Look how huge his feet are!!! Congrats on the new baby!

SOOO cute!!

We were deciding between getting a Newfoundland vs. a Labrador. We ended up with a chocolate Lab, but we still love the Newfies!

DH wants a Bernese Mountain Dog - badly!!!!! Every time we see one, I just look at their paws and tell him no!!!!

At least it's a No, until the kids are outta the house and with DS being 15 and DD being 13 it's gonna be awhile. Once the kids are gone, the dog can have a room of it's own. That is one dog that will not be up on the bed or couch. It's bad enough that the 20lb Shiba Inu thinks he's King of the house and takes up a good portion of the foot end of the bed, no way do I want DH thinking he can spoil another dog.

Your Newfie sure is cute. DH got his Spitz puppy around 2 yrs old and he and that dog were the best of buddies.

Her name is Maggie and she already seems to know that about 50% of the time. The breeder has been calling her that for the last week or so.

We decided on the Newf because of their temperment with children and honestly, because they are very low energy and lazy dogs!! I could not handle life with a lab ... they are AWESOME dogs but way too much energy for me.

Our house isn't that big and already in our family room with her, my DS, my older hound who needs to be as close to me as possible right now and me on the floor it's cozy but a little furniture rearranging and we will be good. She is restricted from the rest of the house right now though so once she is potty trained there is a lot more space for her.

aaww She has the same markings as my dog. Very pretty.

She is so cute! Looks a lot like my dog when he was a puppy. Maybe he is mixed with newfie?

Being a Canadian ( and on Canada Day no less) I was expecting to see pictures of old fishermen :confused3

My parents breed Berners, and while they are big, I don't think they take up any more room then my 55lb lab. Berners are happy being where their people are. My parents have given pups to people in apartments.

oooohhhh - how darn cute

love newfies!

The dog is adorable!

OMG she is soooooooooo cute!!!!!! She's going to be huge, but adorable! DBF wants a huge dog like that but since we have 2 cats and 2 dogs now we've decided after these pets leave our family we will take a furbaby break. :)
