Has anyone heard about this new reward scheme. If so are you having trouble accessing their website to register. I have been trying since Monday and I have rang them and can't get anywhere - bloody good start they're having isn't it!!!! LOL

Hi,

My hubby has received his card in the post, it was automatically sent out because he already had one of the other cards its replacing.
But going by the articles in the papers last night you are going to have to spend alot more to get eneough points to earn the same stuff.
eg it's something like £1000 spent at sainburys would get you an entry into a uk theme park, to get the same with nectar it will now cost you £1500.
Its not a problem if you shop in these stores all the time, but it wont make it worth having if you only use them occasionally, i think.
This maybe teething troubles while they sort out the benifits they are going to offer, i think tescos did a refurb on theirs recently so it may change in a bit.

Hope this helps

i managed to register online last friday but my dad was having the same problems yesterday as you're having today

Hi ya Paula,

Just registered mine and my mums today they have been having major technical faults since last week but they now have sorted it :p It takes quite a while though still a bit slow, I suppose its everyone trying to register at the same time, but like I said you should get on today.

If I've read correctly for every barclaycard point you have, you are given 5 nectar points, this is good for me and steve as we have over 6000 on our barclaycard giving us a whopping 30,000 nectar points:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc we only need another 7500 points and we can go to Florida on the air miles, and as you know that probably won't take that long with the amount of miles Steve does and the amount of money I spend on shopping not to mention what we will spend in Florida when we are all out there (lol):Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

See you Saturday.

Unfortunately after the initial transfer, you get 1 nectar point for ever £2 spent on barclaycard, so it looks like you'll have to spend £15000 on your credit card to get one flight to Orlando ...

Doesn't add up .....

Nectar is the new rewards programme from Sainsburys but they've joined forces with Barclaycard, BP & Debenhams.

Also to everyone else, try logging onto Nectar early in the morning it's a lot quicker, I registered today at 7.30 a.m. but was trying and failing miserably to get on all yesterday and last night.

The good thing about this for us David is that my DH does loads and loads of company miles somewhere in the region between 40,000 and 50,000 miles per year and he pays for all his expenses ie petrol, subsistance and hotels with his barclaycard so the points do add up very quickly also if he fills up his car at a BP garage and the moment and hands over both cards nectar and barclaycard he automatically gets triple points instead of double (i don't know if this is just a temporary promotional thing, probably...)

Well I'm going to keep on saving and saving and hopefully by the time we want to go to Florida again (after the next trip which is just over 3 weeks away) probably in about 4 or 5 years time we should be well on our way with the air miles:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Hi everyone - I have totally given up trying to register online so I have filled in the form and posted it today - I wonder if I will still get the extra 100 bonus points added if I had joined online??? I have tried about every hour since Monday and it will not let me get in. I get so far then when I click on register it comes up with an error screen. I have to say I'm not impressed so far. I tried ringing and got a mssg saying they were having technical difficulties. LOL I noticed on their website today they have put a notice about the problems. Lets hope they get it sorted and soon.

see ya sat drennan!!!!!!!!!

How do airmiles work??? My hubby works in Barnet (and travels from Brum to Herts) and also in Europe every week. What sort of scheme would be beneficial to him??? He is currently on his way to being a "flying dutchman" but are there any other schemes he could join?

I gave up trying to ics on website and have sent off. He has got 17,184 reward points so thats 85,920 nectar points.

So thats a couple of flights to orlando but much more exciting..........Bit of shopping in New York.

Hi Muppet,

Do you get 5 nectar points for every sainsburys points you have as well as 5 points for barclaycard points:confused: I was under the impression you only get the 5 nectar points on the barclaycard reward points

Hya Mate (Drennan)

I have just read my nectar leaflet and this is what it says:

When you transfer your existing barclaycard rewards over the rate is 5 nectar points per reward - then for every £2 you spend on your barclaycard after that you get 1 nectar point.

When you transfer your sainsburys rewards over the rate is 1 nectar point for each reward - then for every £1 you spend on your shopping after that you will get 2 nectar points.

Does that help ya!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Paula,

I thought that was the case:rolleyes:
