MyPoints has an announcement for their new credit card on site. It is a Citi MasterCard. You have to spend $2 to get 1 point (old one was one for one), and there is a limit of 15,000 points you can earn per year. They say you can earn more points on purchases via MyPoints links, but no details. Also, no annual fee.

I'm disappointed. I think I'll go with the new AAA card that gives 5% back on gas purchases and offers reward certificates to use toward AAA vacations.

I have to agree! What a pitiful offering! At 1pt/$2, it would take a total of $7,000 in purchases to earn a $25 webbie ($7,000=3,500pts=$25 webbie).

If I spend $7,000 with my Chase-i card, I get a $70 webbie ($7,000 with a 1% rebate = $70 webbie)!

As far as getting *extra* points for shopping at MyPoints with the MyPoints Mastercard is concerned, check the fine print.
***You may earn additional Points directly from MyPoints.com or other MyPoints participating companies. MyPoints.com and MyPoints participating companies may have specific requirements you must fulfill to receive additional Points.
I take that to mean that you get the same points that the next guys who used his American Express or Disney VISA or any other credit card.

They really blew it with thisone! Makes the Disney VISA's 1% Disney Dream Dollars rebate actually look good!
