***NEW MyMagic & FastPass+ Official Information & FAQ Thread***

Click the fast pass plus link, click on the day you want to change, click on 'change or replace' and it should let you choose to change individual fast passes.

Yes you can make FP+ for just a few in the group.

Thank you!

Just thought I would give everyone an update on our situation. We are staying at WDW and are PAP Holders. We have only been able to make 7 days worth of FP+ before it states that we have reached our FP+ limit and that we need to trade a day before we can make any FP+ reservations.

After calling IT, we had one person say that as PAP Holders (despite having a resort booking) that we aren't even entitled to FP+ so that's why we can't make anymore. I thanked them, hung up and called again.

This time, I got someone else who was much more helpful. Keep in mind, I still don't know how accurate this information is but this is what I was told.

1. Currently PAP and AP Holders can only make 7 days worth of FP+ reservations, despite having a longer reservation at a resort. These 7 days don't need to be consecutive and can be anywhere within a 60 day period.
2. Upon arrival at WDW, CM's at a kiosk or the resort should be able to override the system and help reserve ride times for us, using our Magic Bands. (assuming times and rides that we want are available)
3. On the days that we don't have FP+ reservations, we can use regular FP+ using our AP cards.

According to the CM, for the time being, we won't be able to make another days worth of reservations once we have used one. It's a current straight 7 days only FP+ reservations.

The CM on the phone was extremely helpful and friendly. I have no idea how accurate the information is but that's what I was told :)

:badpc::badpc:

Unbelievable.

Holy mickey!

My magic ands were shipped over night! Is this how Disney will be shipping magic bands?
Or will they send them 2-3 shipping once it gets rolled out?

Hmmmmm, we are PAP holders (DVC) and my husband has 14 days worth of FP+ booked right now. My daughter and her family are PAP holders (DVC) and has 8 days worth of FP+ booked. I'm the only one that can't get my PAP to link to my account, but I've had no problem booked 14 days worth of FP+ for my husband who only has a PAP / DVC voucher and will activate it when we arrive on Oct. 18th. I'm not sure why you can't get pass the 7 days. When I originally made mine I bounced from day to day and week to week and never consecutive, but they are now as I backfilled as I planned the 2 week trip. I can't remember if you have a split stay or a consecutive one. Mine is one reservation starting on Oct. 18th for 15 nights/16 days. So as you can tell, everyone has an answer and generally never the same one.

Also wanted to mention to someone who asked, I emailed the "contact" us and 2 weeks later I got an email telling me to call, so if anyone is waiting for an answer via email, don't waste your time. I started calling a month ago about my PAP showing "no valid admission", even though it is listed in my profile and got nowhere. I talked to DVC member services last week and they opened a ticket (escalated my case as they said), but also told me that it probably won't be fixed by the time I arrive in 2 weeks. They said I could be copied to my husband's FP+ choices after I get linked upon checkin....I will report back how this works out.

BTW -- I emailed another question about the limit of FP+ and was told there was no limit on how many we can make.....Here is the email I got this weekend. (They mention 15, but my DH has 14 and my DD has one on the day my DH couldn't get, that's how they got 15).

Dear Our family,

We look forward to your upcomping visit here to Walt Disney World®!

I see you have made 15 days worth of FastPass+. As long as you have a
Walt Disney World® Resort reservation there shouldn't be a limit on how
many FastPass+ selections you can make! Is there another day you'd like
to make FastPass+ for? Let me know and I'll make them for you!

Please don't hesitate to reply if there is anything else I can do to
ensure you have the most magical vacation!

Sincerely,

WDW Online Communications

I suppose it is possible they have reduced the max # of FP+ days to 7, but those who already had 14 are OK. It would be interesting to hear from anyone else just now making selections with an AP if they are seeing limits.

It would be nice if they actually published an official FAQ or something... :)

We have AP got all 11 days we needed..
But we are staying at a Disney resort.. (I don't know if that makes a difference )

Well, everyone is right now :) AP holders haven't been enabled outside of a resort stay yet.

How long ago did you get them though?

I made FP+ picks on Monday for 8 consecutive days.

I am trying to get a Fastpass for myself to the Epcot Character Spot so that I can take my 2 y.o. DD while DS and DH use their Fastpasses for Mission Space. On one page it says that Fastpass+ is available for this attraction. But when I go to change my Fastpass (originally I had one for Mission Space too), I am not given the option for Epcot Character Spot. Anyone know why this is? If it matters, these are for the first week in December. Thanks!

I was at Disney for one of the testing phases in August. Sometimes when I wanted to switch one of our fast pass times I had to play around with it a little. Maybe this will help you.
First change your mission space to a different time and then try to change it to see if the character spot will show up. You may have to try several different time slots and just take what you can get. Then after you get a time slot for character spot go in and adjust the time for it so it is close to the boys mission space time frame. I think when you try to change a FP it only looks at what is available during that exact time frame. Hope you can get it all worked out.

:thumbsup2 I would love to know this information too. Since everyone has different information, I might try call again and see if I can find out anything else. As long as we can use regular FP+, I don't mind.

I have a problem I haven't seen addressed yet. So let's see if anyone has any ideas on how this will work. Hubby and I are meeting some friends at Disney at the end of the month. I have AP and a magicband and everything is good and working with no problem. He will be golfing most days but I have 2 different free tickets that hubby will be using. One ticket is a 1 day/1park ticket. I have assigned that to him with no problem. The other ticket is a 1 day park hopper. I have not attempted to add it yet. If I attach both tickets to his magicband how does Disney determine which ticket to use when he enters the park? His first park day will be Epcot all day with no hopping. His other park day we want to use the hopper and hit at least 2 parks. I'm completely paranoid that they will mark the hopper ticket as used on the first day and then it won't allow him to hop when he wants to. But if I don't attach the other ticket I can't make FP+ selections for him. Any ideas? I'm probably going to have to call Disney but I've gotten so much wrong info from them in the past I can't trust what they will tell me. UGH!!!

I booked my FP+ selections yesterday for our trip for myself, DH and DS2. DH is a Jr. and DS is a III. Anyway, to make a long story short, the system is having problems with Jr.s, Sr.s, IIIs and IVs. My husband was totally removed from our reservation. I could never see our DS2 on our reservation and all, but called and was told that since he's under three he is not showing up on My Disney Experience but that he is in Disney's computer system, so I didn't worry about that.

I called today, and was referred to a FP phone number. I called that number, and the IT person told me that our whole reservation now shows just myself due to the problems with my husband being a Jr. and my son being a III. They are going to try to get it fixed within a couple of days. She told me I may end up having to do the FP+ reservations over the phone if they cannot fix the problem. Just wanted to let any other Jr.s, Sr.s, IIIs and IVs know!

I've had problems with the apostrophe in my name when linking reservations...poor data handling not processing special characters, etc.

Disney is not unique there though. First time we did remote check-in for the airline, it took an hour, still couldn't print boarding passes and we ended up bringing our bags. JetBlue, when we checked in at the airport, then wanted $200 in extra bag fees, because they had us each having 3 bags because the bag check went through the system three times, but the boarding passes didn't...

Fortunately we haven't had too many problems with my father-in-law being a Sr., husband a Jr. and son a III! At least we are catching this problem well in advance of our trip. Hopefully everything works out before we arrive!!

Looking through my FP+ options, it's interesting to see how they change from day to day.
