New Mouseketeer Panel Pin/Belle Pin

I was just on the panel during the May Repo cruise, and someone on the ship later told me that it was a new Mouseketeer pin, different from the one they have. I don't know how new it was, but I thought I'd mention it in case any pin people out there want to try and get it. The one I received is royal blue in the shape of Mickey's head. Oddly enough, it doesn't say anything about the panel part.

And the Belle pin that was handed out at Lumiere's with the 3D rose is apparently new as well. When we were at Disneyland, all of the cast members at the pin carts kept commenting on how they'd never seen it before. Maybe it's at WDW.

I was a Contestant a couple of years ago, and was just on the Panel on the June 4th cruise. The pin itself is exactly the same....same color, shape, everything. The only difference is that the pin doesn't have the "dangler" anymore that said either "Contestant" or "Panelist". I was kinda bummed about that, because you can buy similar Mouseketeer pins in the parks.

Huh. Guess I was told the wrong thing. Weird. The person who told me that clearly saw my pin and said she needed to play again to get it. Maybe she had a REALLY old pin.

When Ang handed them to us, she told us that you could only get them by playing the game or by being on the panel....she stressed a couple of times that they were "special". And they are. You can't buy these exact same ones....just ones that are similar. I still miss the special dangler, though.....that made them even better.
