Yay! We went to a walmart out of town today and I was able to use my coupon!

I got the cashier's email and sent her the link.

I just went to the other WalMart here in town and they had all the $17 copies pulled. On the New Moon display they had the Twilight movies there for $17.00 but no New Moon for $17.00.

I tried a second walmart today and once again they wouldn't let me get it. The CSM insisted that the commas meant that I had to buy all of the movies. Sigh.

I went down the street to Target where the movies were a bit more expensive but in the end they took the coupons. I got Astro Boy and New Moon together for $10.95 though I did also get a $5 Gift Card as well so the end total was $5.95.

Wal-mart would not let me use it and the lady insinuated that I was a cheater, because "you know what the intent of the coupon is."

As you can see, the insult did not phase me , because....

I used it at Walgreens on the deluxe version with the extras. It was $28, so I feel like it was a good deal for me and for the store.

well, come on. Let's be honest. We ALL know the intent. And I probably would have done it, too, if I had wanted the movie. I'm just glad I didn't.

beansmom, I'm not arguing what the intent of the coupon was. I wouldn't have said what the Wal-mart lady said to me, but whatever. I don't generally shop Wal-mart because I don't like the feel of the store, and the unhappy people they seem to hire. To be honest, I'm glad I bought the more expensive edition at Walgreens. Walgreens overprices their movies, so now I feel like they got a fair amount of money, and I got my daughter a 2 dvd set instead of the standard movie. It made me feel less dirty for using it.

I went to my Walmart on Friday and the coupon scanned fine, but when it asked her to put in the price, she wanted to get the managers OK, he ok'd it and signed his name at the top. I had no problems at all using it, except for the little inconvenience of waiting a bit.

I was able to use both coupons tonight at Target. I was able to my DD the 3-disc edition of New Moon and Twilight in Forks for $6.04. And I got the $5.00 gift card too.

Our Walmart didn't have any $17.00 copies.

I just picked up the New Moon DVD for $1 at Walmart. The cashier studied the coupon for about a minute and then finally put the amount in!! Thanks for the coupon!!

I used the coupon too at my local Wal-Mart (Tucson) and got it for free! I went to the self check and when I scanned the coupon it asked for an employee override. She came over, didn't really even look at it and scanned it again. She kept doing something wrong, b/c it took her several times. It asked for the cost, and she asked me how much the movie was. I said $17, which she keyed in. It was only after I was leaving did I realize it was asking for the coupon cost, not the movie. So she deducted the entire cost of the movie. So free New Moon for me. Funny thing is I don't even really care for the movie. I thought it was just so-so. So what I'm planning on doing with it is donate it to the pediatric ward at the hospital. I'm sure there are tons of sick teens who would love to see the movie.

I used my coupon for New Moon at Walmart. I went to a checkout that had an older lady working. When it said enter the amount, it registered 16 cents...had to call a mgr over. I wasnt sure it going to work, but it did. So I got it for $1 plus tax.

Then I went to Target to get the Twilight in the Forks. It wa on sale for 12.99. They had an issue at first with the coupon and said I had to buy all of them. I said it doesnt say and......and the lady agreed with me. They wouldnt give me the 16 off, but gave me 12.99, so it was free.

I am saving them for my daughters bday next month. If anyone knows of a good deal on the Twilight movie, let me know.

I'm a little late to the party. Finally had DH go to Walmart. At first they challenged him on it. The manager was called over and after stewing over it said no at first. Then he said try scanning the coupon and see if the system takes it. It did.
For us the final cost was 10 dollars for the "Ultimate Fan Edition" . Not as good as one dollar, but our DD was very happy when he returned with it in this hand!. Thanks for the link. That is the version that we used.

I finally worked up the courage to use the coupon (because the people in our Walmart seem to take coupons personally ) and wouldn't you know, they were out. Well, I'm going to keep looking and hopefully I can try again before the coupon expires. Has anyone tried the coupon at Target ?
(can you tell, I'm kind of scared of our Wal-Mart check out people.....)

I used the coupon today at Target not for New Moon tho - I got Astro Boy for $0.99

The girl was mad at the register for making her call the supervisor over for the override - it was funny she was cursing it. Both of them read the coupon thoroughly and said wow what a great coupon. The great thing I have three more.

OH MY!! LOL!! That is EXACTLY what DH and I did at WalMart~ After quickly passing it by a manager the cashier told us someone had brought in a coupon for a free Playstation and it was a fraud (ya think) so this one had to be looked at! New Moon is now ours for around a buck
