Agreed, but don't blame the Sentinel. The link is to cable provider Bright House Networks' local news channel, CFN13.
Yeah, I know...I just found it to be annoying.
I completely understand how someone staying at a resort along the monorail line could be upset with the lessened operating hours. But, truly, they aren't 'monorail resorts'...they are MK resorts. Monorail resort is in no way an 'official' phrase...we here have done that.
The monorail has been breaking down so often lately that I actually avoid it if I'm trying to get somewhere within a certain time frame. While in Epcot last August, we wanted to get to the MK and were in WS. Now, we were staying at BWV, so it would have been a shortish walk there and then take the bus. But noooo, I wanted to ride the monorail over to TTC. Hadn't done that yet. We walked all the way through Epcot, got to the monorail platform area only to find it was down. But hey...they had buses for us. Yeah, me and about 1000 of my new best friends. Nope, not doing that. I head over to a bus area that is marked Polynesian...didn't have a long line of people so got in line and onto the bus It stopped at the TTC, so we got off. Saw that the ferry line was humungous....walked over to the Polynesian. The line for their boat to MK was about 40 people long. All in all...it took us more than 90 mins to get to MK. DH said he had had enough fun and was not heading into MK..just getting the bus back to BW!!!
More and more often the monorail is breaking down. And after you've been stuck, for over an hour, in the 'highway in the sky'....literally sitting up there on the beam, for an hour, with no a/c, crying children and you're trying to get to HDDR on time, well, you tend to be a bit hesitant about using the monorail if you're on a schedule.
