Well, what do you know....induction is scheduled for this morning and my contractions are about 4 min. apart. Dropping the boys at school and then off to the hospital.

Good to hear! My Amber had Rory Brianna on August 27, 8 lbs 12.1 oz and 21.25 inches long with a head full of, very strange, but, brown hair with red highlights (daddy is a redhead) and curly. She is adorable.

I hope all is well MickeyFlier, we can't wait to hear the update!

I had my 28W ultrasound this morning, I almost passed out on the table! That was super scary. I guess the babies were sitting right on an artery or something. Luckily the feeling passed a few minutes after I stood up, but I felt so bad the sonographer had to deal with me!

I am growing some HUGE babies. Giant. I'm scared at how much bigger they might get. Baby A is 3 lbs 3 oz (like 92nd percentile) and Baby B is 2 lbs 12 oz (60th percentile). Their head sizes are both almost off the chart. Yikes! But now I don't feel like I need to be so OCD about my protein intake. They're growing fine

So let's see... what's new today. Well, I'm going to the docs at 12pm today so hopefully I'll have some news to share.

My MIL is going to fly in from Florida from the 22-29. Need to find an air mattress for her to sleep on. I'm going to put her in the baby's room since he won't be sleeping there yet and I don't think she'll fit in the crib (although she is quite petitie). She used to have an in-home daycare and is awesome with the kids so I'm glad she is coming. Plus she cleans and does laundry!! whoo hoo!!!

Oh, my list of things to take to the hospital. Have I forgot anything?

camera
video camera
pillow
robe
slippers/socks
2 outfits for me
3 outfits for baby (for hospital picture)
make up
hair stuff
shower stuff
cell charger
presents for kids from baby
cord blood kit (I'm donating the cord blood)
snacks and a change of clothes for Chris

Hate to pack a bunch of stuff, because I don't want to have to drag it all back.

That's it for now. I'll update everyone after I get back this afternoon. Everyone pray for some dialation!!

So..... went to the doctors today.... I'm 2cm dialated and 75% effaced. Doc wrote up my orders for induction for the 10th! Woo Hoo! So that means after 5am, we can expect a phone call from the hospital saying come in, we have a bed for you. On the other side, if there is no bed, I may have to wait until later in the day for that coveted phone call.

I'm very excited and a bit nervous. Have a lot of logistics to figure out. Like who's going to take DD to the bus (my mom will pick her up), and who is going to take DS to daycare and pick him up? It's hard to plan this stuff since it mostly depends on when I get a bed and when I deliver.

Life would be so much easier if I were rich.

Great news on the induction! It was so much easier for the first child -- nothing else to arrange!

Well....Lila Caroline made her way into the world at 2:18 pm on 9/2/08. She was 8 lbs. 2 ozs. and 21 inches long. Labor was fast (pit started at 11:30 am - delivery 3 hrs later) and my midwife was great. Was able to go without any meds or tearing. We are home and just feel so blessed to have this sweet baby girl in our arms.
