New MK Paid Disney After Hours Event Announced

Yes,E-Ride Nights.

That's the one, thanks.

Is this the beginning of doing away with EMH ?

I was thinking the same thing. My guess is this is a trial to see how it goes. If it is a success, then I think we can kiss EMH good bye. Just another way to get people to pay for what used to be included in your resort stay. If this does get rid of EMH, I will definitely be staying offsite from here on out, it is the last of the perks that cause us to consider onsite.

This is more than HARAMBE NIGHTS!

There has to be more to it than 3 hours of ride access!!!!:)

I'm okay with this as long as they don't close the MK really early because of it. I'm not usually at the parks late, so if it didn't start until 10:00 or later it would not affect me. However, if they start closing the parks at 7:00 like for mnsshp or MVMCP, I'm going to be annoyed. It is already hard to find evening hours at MK during the fall due to the holiday parties; I don't want the same thing to happen to the spring.

I'm really feeling disheartened by all these announcements coming from WDW lately.

Seeing how nothing is known other than dates and price I'm not sure anyone can say what will be included, or not

roughly half that price and you can enter at 4pm so i'm not really sure why the PP made that comment.
I wasn't talking about Halloween or Christmas parties.
Harambe Nights was $119 (2 years ago)
Club Villain is $129
Totally within expectation to see them charge $149 for this. Whether or not it's worth it depends on details.
I do know I've yet to be disappointed with a ticketed event.

It looks like it is for a extra 3 hours. For $50 a hour they better have someone follow me around and massage my aching feet, maybe have free desert party after they have appetizers of Ribeye, King crab and Lobster with white truffle. Then maybe I might think about it but at $150 for 3 hours, that is well, not something we would do and I am not really a very frugal person. Each to their own though on how Disney parts you from your money.

And alcohol. Don't forget the alcohol.
Yep, for $149 + tax there better be open bar at the MK

That's gotta be $150 for an entire ticket, day + extra hours at night.

Or maybe they're thinking of selling those as "access" to EMH nights...

I would consider this if the price was way lower and it was 3hrs in the morning before park opening rather then the evening. They always offer this type of things in the evening I just wish once they would have the parks open at 6am for some reason and not cause it was a peak time of the year.

Is this an April Fool's joke? To me, that is crazy! I can remember debating whether to buy the E-ride nights and deciding we didn't really need it-- it was $12. If they want to charge that price- it better be amazing considering it is more than a one day ticket and double the party price. I would expect an event like the Villians Soiree to be included, and for it to be extremely limited in number of people admitted so that the rides are virtually all walk on. I would not be pleased if what I basically got was a double priced party without any of the party events.

EPCOT did an after hours thing for $35 back in 2014 didn't they? That was basically at one of the restaurants wasn't it?

They did an after hours party during food and wine for $79 that year too didn't they? Seems like that one had a DJ and dancing and some food and drink, but it was in a limited area and no regular attractions. What I also seem to remember about that one, is that they wound up cancelling some of the dates because they didn't have enough bookings.
