Does anyone know when these open? I know they said in the fall, but was curious if they would be open for our trip in September. Will the italy one be a quick service too?

No one really knows yet when they'll open. I'm sure they'll be announcing it relatively soon (within the next couple of months).

Hacienda de San Angel (Mexico) appears to be a CS during lunch and TS during dinner.

Via Napoli (Italy) appears to be a TS for both meals. There's question whether or not it will have a Take-Out window like another one owned by the same company has. There is nothing known whether or not the take-out window (if it even exists) will actually accept CS credits though.

That would be great if you could buy pizza by the slice.

I really have my fingers crossed about the Mexico rest. although it specializing in baked specialties does not bode well. I loved loved loved the old menu at the Catina. That combo platter was super yummy.

Cantina de San Angel actually eliminated the combo platter in a menu change about a year before it closed.

Takeout from a TS has proven difficult with DDP - there was a restaurant (I thought it was Beaches & Cream but now I think it might have been Olivia's) that accepted takeout meal orders before DDP and stopped afterward because guests complained that they expected to use CS credits for takeout food, not TS credits. If the pizzeria is on the dining plan and doesn't intend to serve slices, there won't be any good way for them to accept CS credits. Can't see them accepting CS credits for a whole pizza for carryout, considering the kind of money they will likely charge for a pizza at table service.

I know the food courts at the resorts do it, but they don't charge as much as this place will. Besides, they're operated by Disney - a non-Disney place might balk.

Also can't figure out how they might assess TS credits for a whole pizza inside unless they will be serving individually sized pizzas.

I know and the menu they replaced it with was down right disgusting, we threw our food away the pork burrito and the chicken chiliques, ick.

That's why my fingers are crossed, I hope the new rest's menu is more like the old Cantina menu, with the beef burrito and the combo platter.

Here's hopin!

I'm really confused by all the rumors about this Italy pizza place and I hope Disney clears it up soon. Maybe it just won't be on the dining plan which would be fine with us!
