Best hotel option for one night, late arrival?

I'm considering arriving the night before our on-property stay to save about $150 each on air fare. We would land around 11:30pm so the stay would be minimal, leaving early the next morning to drop off bags at our main Disney resort.

What are some good options for this single night and methods to book? The airport hotel would be ideal but it is $300+ based on published prices.

This might require some type of online check-in if the hotel has a problem with an arrival after midnight.

Hyatt Place in Lake Buena Vista. It’s just a couple of blocks outside the Disney gates by Disney Springs. We checked in there after midnight, too, and we were still able to get food in the lobby.

I did a late night check in at All Star Movies on a trip a number of years ago that I arrived after midnight. Lobby was still hopping with people arriving. I went straight to the room and to bed. Did not unpack except jammies and meds and the clothes for the next day. Got up the next morning and discovered no soap or tub mat in the bathroom. Oops. Was still able to get ready and took my bags to Bell Services to transfer to my DVC resort for the rest of the week.

Took a similar flight a few months later and decided that the extra night of DVC points was worth using to not have to move in the morning.

I'd look into one of the value resorts if you don't want to add a night on to where you are currently reserved. We did it once when our flights got changed and we arrived at almost 2am (there was no availability at the resort we were staying at for the rest of our trip). We had a car so we moved ourselves, that way we didn't have to wait until the evening for luggage to be transferred. Flamingo Crossing is also close by has options.

We always arrive after midnight and found, for us, we soooo much would rather get into our WDW resort room late and be able to wake up already there and not have to deal with checking in and out of another hotel and driving some more. Any extra cost is really worth it to us.
For offsite I would look at DS Drury or any other DS hotels.
We are arriving about this time for the first time ever. What transportation do you take to the resort at that time of night? Thanks

You could always consider the hotel at OIA. You’d already be there then could grab Mears, uber/Lyft or your rental the next morning.

Value Resort. There will be like no traffic that late so you’ll make great time getting to Disney, drop the bags will bell services in the morning and off to a park you go!

This. The one time we arrived late I just booked where we were staying. It was nice to unpack and wake up the next morning and not have to move.

OP, if you can possibly afford it, the easiest thing to do is to book that night at the resort where you're going to stay. Every time I consider this, that's what I end up doing. The MCO Hyatt always costs nearly the same (or more) and I really don't want to change rooms if at all possible.

But if you can't afford that, there are a lot of hotels near the airport that have shuttles to and from the airport. I can't recommend one, but I'm sure someone else can.

I won't stay in an All Stars. The only time I did I got zero sleep since the room-to-room noise made it impossible for me to do so.

We always drive to WDW, 7 hours, which ends up being 8 hrs with the time change, and we normally head out right after my work so arriving midnight to 2AM.

Taxi, ride share, Mears also operates. I'd do a ride share, probably the easiest. One way, depending on how many people, Mears may be a little less ($16 pp), but you might have to wait to leave MCO. A ride share is going to be close in price and you'll go straight to the resort, no stops (Mears may have other drop offs).

If you decide to stay at a less expensive hotel near the airport, we stayed for a few days at the Home2 Suites near the airport. It was clean, good room size, nice staff, free breakfast, and their airport shuttle runs 24 hours. We just had to call for it and it arrived quickly even late at night (2am and 3:30am). Used it again one morning at 5am going to the airport with no issues.

I asked this same question one time and a kindly member suggested Quality Inn by the Parks. We arrived around 1 am. Parked right in front of room. Breakfast included. I dropped my kids off at Animal Kingdom next morning which I think was a mile away? Went shopping Costco Sam's club Target for supplies/groceries. They gave me a late checkout till 1 pm. By that time got a text from AK that villa was ready and i went straight there. Very easy. *I think the room was around 80 which was a shocker. We would have spent that for breakfast.
