New Menu at Palo

The beef tenderloin is still on the menu...I just had it last week. What is gone is the gorgonzola sauce that you could get with it on the side. I asked our Palo server, but was told they didn't have it anymore. The next night, while telling this to our main dining room head server who had asked how we liked the new Palo menu, he said they should have gotten it for me, anyway. I wasn't complaining about it, just answering his question about the new menu and expressing a wistfulness as it was a favorite of mine. He offered to get me and our other table companions a beef tenderloin with gorgonzola sauce for our following night's dinner. I first said no, saying we weren't upset about it and certainly weren't looking for special treatment but he said it was no problem at all. Next night...a beef tenderloin that rivaled the Palo one and a gravy boat filled with gorgonzola sauce for three of the four of us at our table! Yum!

From what I can recall, this was always referred to as a Beef Tenderloin on the Palo menu. We ate there earlier this month (on the Dream) and our server told us that lots of people were asking for the dish without the gorgonzola sauce so they decided it was time to try something new.

Very good service! So nice to read this!

I saw that someone commented in that link asking, "Is Palo the same as other DCL restaurants where you can try several dishes or is it more like a typical restaurant where you just choose one entree?" I'm wondering the same thing.
In our experience, you can order more than one entree, but it won't be smaller portions. And that's a lot of food. Typically, they like you to just order one, but it's not a requirement, as far as I know.

For Valentine's Day dinner on Fantasy's Palo we each ordered one entree, but the server brought out a full-sized order of the wild mushroom risotto anyway for us to share at our table for four, so we could all enjoy a small portion of that deliciousness. He also brought out two extra desserts to share in addition to our chocolate souffles. As if. Later in the week during brunch, you could also order hot entrees to share like pizzas, the chicken parmesan, lasagna, and the new breaded mozzarella triangles with homemade marinara mmmmmm. Sharing is just the best, and in our experience, is always encouraged at Palo. That way you are spared the agonizing decision of whether to have the Italian sausage or grape and gorgonzola pizza. Seems to be a gorgonzola theme going on here!

We also celebrated Valentine's day at Palo on the Fantasy. I had the Dover Sole and it was light, tasty and very good.
DH had the beef tenderloin. We had a good time.

Thank you for this post! :) I have had the lasagna and mozzarella on the Fantasy a few years ago. Since then I have been on the Wonder twice and Dream twice and they did not have those options. I thought they were gone and of course those were some of my favorites. I'm so glad to hear they are still on the Fantasy(or back on, if you were told the mozzarella was new) as we will be on the Fantasy this summer!

We were on the Fantasy mid January and they had the "new" menu. Still had the Filet and gnocchi.

Some / many of the items were the "same" as before, just prepared differently. Like the gnocchi, bean soup and osso buco .

They are happy to bring an extra order of something. We have often ask for an order of some dish "for the table" so we could all try it. No problem at all.

That limoncello dessert looks so good, can't believe I have to wait 14 months to try it. :/
I hate when real life gets in the way of vacation fantasy life.
