I just noticed that allears has a new menu posted for Kona Cafe...and the Macadamia Nut-Crusted Mahi-Mahi is not on it!!!! Is this accurate? This has been my favorite WDW entree for...well...as long as I can menu. I am craving it at this moment and was looking forward to enjoying it in December.:scared:

Maybe you can replace that with the braised PORK BELLY Salad!!!!!!!!!!! :scared1: (I'm thinking of the movie Trading Places when I hear that!)

It looks like the Mahi Mahi has been replaced by tuna! -- I am not a big tuna fan. I enjoyed the Mahi Mahi - it was good. I am a big steak fan too so I guess when I go in Feb ... it will be steak. I had heard the menu was changing. There is a pic of the tuna on the food picture page (I think near the end) and I wondered what that was all about!

Tuna has been on the menu in the past. My daughter has ordered it there. It is different now though. It's served with a wasabi mustard that is yummy and fried green tomatoes. The Mahi Mahi is gone though. There are other new entrees including a simply prepared ono that my son loved and a BBQ pork chop that I ordered and my DH loved.

Actually, I think it was replaced with ono.

There are actually quite a few recent threads about these changes.

Yes that is correct...the menu changed the second week in Oct.

Yeah, it has been replaced by Ono, which is a similar in texture and flavor to Mahi Mahi.

I, personally, like the change because Ono is a more exotic fish found in hawaii and polynesian islands. Well, more exotic than mahi mahi is these days... you can get that (although probably not as good as kona's) at TGI fridays.
