We just bought into SSR and are going the last week of April. I have enjoyed this board and am getting a lot of good info. My kid will be celebrating her 11th birthday while we are at Disney. We will also be using the ME for the first time. Anyone have any good tips. We are extremely excited about our purchase and vacation!

Make sure you tell the restaurants you attend that it is your DD's birthday, and they will usually do something special.

Hi! to the Dis!!

About your DD's b-day...I would book her a character meal (if she's into the characters. My DD12 loves meeting them) & let them note on your ADR about your DD's b-day. You can even special order a cake at the restaurants. I believe there is a sticky at the top of the restaurants page that has the phone numbers to order a cake at a each restaurant.

Be sure to mention your daughter's birthday to the CM when you check in at SSR. When we were at OKW for my DD 13th birthday, they sent her balloons to our room.

We used ME last few trips and never had a problem. Remember to pack swimwear in a carry-on since it takes a couple of hours sometimes for your bags to arrive.
