New members - when do we get package of info.?

Hi all,
We are fairly new members and bought through Timeshare Store. We already made our 1st reservation and awaiting the deed. The closing has gone through and we are in Disney's system.
I was told that Disney Vacation Club would mail me a package of info. How long does this normally take? I am assuming it has a membership card - what else?

It took quite a while for me to receive my membership card, which will arrive separately from member handbook materials. I was in the DVC system around March 18th. I received my member card about 2 weeks ago.

It was about six weeks for us to get a member guidebook. Another month for membership cards.

Don't have huge expectations.

I received a call from my Guide that my BCV points came through over the weeked. (I'm a brand new DVC member.) So, the most importantn question. When can I make a reservation?

I don't know when you will receive a package, but I did call my guide from several years ago (I just closed with TSS). I wanted to view SSR and talk about a possible future add-on. He offered to sit down with me to review everything as well, in case I had any questions on banking points, reservation process, etc.

I was impressed that he made that offer - he did say that in the excitement of buying DVC those things are often glossed over or forgotten so he would be happy to sit down over coffee to talk.... I'll be seeing him in a few weeks! Very pleased with the guest service I have received, even though I bought from TSS and not DVC directly.

When we bought resale, we only received membership cards from DVC. We got a guidebook when the new ones were sent out for the following year.
