I wonder if it's so we can book FP+ and stuff? Stay tuned! :surfweb:

Here's what they are saying....

The Best Is Yet to Come

In keeping with our commitment to provide the best possible service to our Members, the Disney Vacation Club Member website will be undergoing a change. Watch for it soon, then keep coming back to check on the progress we're making. Over the next few months, you will see the transformation happening before your eyes!
Our goal is to create a more satisfying vacation planning experience for you. Watch us grow into the fully revitalized Disney Vacation Club Member website – the online place for turning your vacation dreams into a reality!

Uh oh ... :)

Kidding I guess we wait and see. I sure hope all this FP+ stuff will be all settled by October.

I'm hoping they are expanding the way you can make reservations like being able to use transferred points, or book something at 7 months and replacing an existing reservation so you don't risk canceling one reservation first only to see the reservation you want suddenly get all booked up. Or the ability to modify an existing reservation. That's what's I would like. Of course the magic band stuff will probably be thrown in too.

I hate the new regular Disney site.
I lost everything I had saved on the old site.
And I can not get any Dining Reservation to stay listed.
I find it very complicated to use.
It freezes and crashed frequently.
It was trying to make Dining reservations today and it went down 3 times.

I bet the new DVC Member site will have a similar look and function.

Usually when Disney makes a website change, DVC will follow with a website change because they get some of the features from the Disney website rather than come up with their own. That's why we got online check in and why the requests are limited and don't make a lot of sense.

:earsboy: Bill

This is great. This is just what we want. Another five year period of a site not working right while they fix all the problems created when it was first introduced.

Sorry you having such issues with the new my disney experiece site. I love it. The look of each day of my intinerary is amazing!!! For example on June 21 it shows the park I designated DHS with park hours, it shows us checking out of Kidani and into Beach Club and lists our dining ADRs for that day!!

Keep trying and hopefully you can get it to work for you!!!

This statement fills me with nothing but dread.

After dealing with Disney IT issues for years & watching the debacle that the new website has become, am I the only one that is less than thrilled about what life with NextGen is sure to be for the foreseeable future?

UGH! Just shoot me now.

One thing for sure, Disney's IT knows how to keep themselves employed :rotfl:

A few things broken on a site? An enhancement needed? Hey... let's rewrite the whole thing... again.

I was beginning to think I'm the only one who has had a positive experience with the new site. Yes there are glitches, but I'm actually very impressed with the way it pulled my DVC reservations which I booked through DVC Member Services plus my dining ADRs which I booked on the old WDW site and they now all appear on My Itinerary. My Vero Beach Easter Brunch is even included (we're spending 3 days at Vero Beach prior to arriving at BWV on April 1st) and that one I reserved via a phone call to DVC Member Services. Plus, I can also view all these itinerary items on the new My Disney Experience app on my iPhone.

I also hate it. I have been trying to book ADRs and end up with a different problem everytime. Sometimes it just crashes and freezes, sometimes I can't access it all, sometimes it lets me go all the way through the steps of making the reservation and then at step 5 "Reserve" I get a message that the server is busy or down for maintainence. It is maddening.

I question new and improve, it usually comes with a period of trials and tribulations! Luckily I've never had issues as described above, it's worked well for us!

Do you use IE or FireFox? I find it works better with FireFox than IE. Have not tried using it with Chrome yet.

I don't have any issues with the new WDW site when I'm at home. It doesn't work at all here at work, though. (Our IT department still has us way back on IE 7, and it's completely incompatible with the new WDW site.)

I do a lot of my DVC stuff here at work during lunch, so I really hope whatever changes they make aren't going to update the site beyond the capability of my vastly outdated office computer.

Oh, if the web site change includes a way to permanently opt out of music on the home page, I'm all for it!

I use Safari at home and that browser won't let me do anything on the site. Anytime i try to search for dining reservations, Safari freezes and becomes unresponsive and I have to force quit. I have cleared cookies, emptied the cache, restarted, all to no avail. Sigh.

I use Chrome at work and get the "Server Busy" response right at the last step of booking an ADR. Maybe I will try FireFox at work.

I emailed Disney and got a standard "sorry for the inconvenience, we are working on it" message in reply.

Each time I have had a problem (I also lost reservations from the old site, a linked reservation made with my points wasn't showing up, and i couldn't make any ADR's) I emailed them from the "contact us" on the site with my issues and within a couple days the things that weren't working were fixed! Still trying to get used to it though. BTW I also use Firefox:confused3

PLEASE Disney -- DO NOT GO LIVE on a new DVC site until you have the kinks on the new Disney site worked out!!! :worried:

When it first went live, I couldn't access my reservations (resort & ADR), but could make new ADRs. Now that I can access my reservations, I get the "server busy" error message when I hit the "reserve" button for ADRs. :headache: This latest problem has gone on since Tuesday. :(

I don't mind change -- as long as it's a step forward rather than 2 back!!! :rolleyes1

BTW, I use Firefox.
