I am just soooo excited about being a DVC member How long does it take to receive all the info, such as member # etc? Is it hard to get a room at the other resorts in the 7 month window?

I just purchased one week ago, and I was able to book as soon as I got the number. I was able to book for May a few days at BWV (I did use them for high point weekend, which are probably easier to get)

I joined a week ago as well and received my paperwork Monday. I also was able to book a 2 bedroom at BWV from 5/27/06 - 6/2/06.

As of right now I have had no problem getting in at the 7 month window. We have gotten in at HH, Wilderness Lodge and Beach club. As more members join it will be harder and more important to call immediately at the 7 month window.

As new memberships continue to rise so will new developments. One of my questions for my guide was over subscription concerns. He explained to me that Disney went above and beyond the ratio regulated by the state of FL to ensure that capacity wasn't an issue.

Your guide didn't give it to you over the phone? Mine did after 48 hours and I was able to call MS right afterwards.

I joined and gave a deposit on a Saturday morning, and by Saturday afternoon, my guide had called me back to give me my number. I had to wait until Monday morning to make my reservations. If you haven't received your number, I would call you guide back to see what's going on.
