New member how long until points are in system

Just called member services for my member number they gave me my member nunber then i asked to confirm pointsin my account they told me they were not showing yet
How long does it takr for points to show up on your account?

If you purchased directly from Disney, they should be there as soon as you are closed. If you purchased resale, it could take a couple of weeks.

Actually if you bought from Disney, the points are put into your account a day or two after you pay the deposit. They want you to feel committed so you won't back out.

When I add on through Disney, I got my points in about 2 hours!!! My resale contract showed up on my member account within 5 days but I had no current points so not sure if those would have been there too in that short time frame.

Did you buy resale? If so, they often set up the account (hence you were able to get the member number) before they "deposit" the points. Usually, it takes 2 of thress days to deposit the points. My understanding is different people set up th eaccount in the computer, but a different office verifies resales (banked, borrowed, holding status, etc.) on resales before the points are transferred into your account.

I closed on February 2 (resale) - as crazy as this sounds I was able to get both my member number and book a ressie on February 1st! I guess I was just lucky

It took over a week for us to get in the system and then another few days to have our points posted. I called about every day once in the system--finally my points were posted and we booked.
I feel for you--I felt like a kid in anticipation of Christmas.

I bought resale threw The Timeshare Store closed on 2/2/09 and as of 2/21/09 I am not in the system at all, and Magic Title Co refaxed the documents on 2/16/09 as on that date I wasn't in the system also.Getting nervous about this sale.Has anyone encounted anything like this

I think the waiting is the worst thing I got my member number on friday so I think I will call again on monday
