New Member Cruise booking questions

We just purchased a DVC membership at SSR while on the DCL last week.
The first question I forgot to ask while on the cruise was is there the same time restrictions (11mo/7mo) for booking a Disney Cruise as there is for booking at a DVC resort? We are looking at May 09 to book the cruise and would have booked it onboard had the DVC not caught our eye after 14 yrs of window shopping.

Also does the Club give any incentives booking within 3 days of returning? I heard this onboard from the DCL rep but have not gotten confirmation.

You can book a Disney cruise up to 2 years out from the sail date (provided the dates are published, of course). You can call up today and book for May 09 if that's your interested date.

If you call within 3 days of your return you get an onboard rebooking discount for the first 2 passengers in the room. We did this. The actual discount varies depending on the category and season, you should have received a pamphlet while on board (or maybe that's for existing DVC members, dunno) and they state the discount for each cruise. You can always call Member Services for the details.
