lulu201 -so glad you had a visit from the whoosh fairy - but remember you did the hard work to get her there!! Well done on the four pounds - good for you!

tiggerlover - another.2 down - excellent work - you are nearly at your goal for this challenge - how great does that feel? Brilliant!!

disnygoof - I know you are doing it tough from your other posts - but good for you for sticking with it! It is fine to change your goal - we should never let numbers put pressure on us or make us feel like we aren't succeeding! You are a success - you have lost nearly 43lb - how wonderful is that! Go for it to the 5lb!!

AprilN - 4lb gone - you are doing so well!! 15lbs since the start of this challenge is excellent work! Post again or PM me if you want me to change your goal!!

kasar - well done with the half pound - and I am glad you had fun with your planned cheat - we all need to have a little of the things we love from time to time! Hope the hoilday fundraiser went well!

JenEeyore - you are well past the half way point on your challenge now - great! Well done on getting rid of another half pound!! Here's to success with the last 4lb of the challenge for you!

I got rid of the weight I gained over Thanksgiving as well as another 2 lbs. Only 8 more to go!
 
Christiana, I'm with you. There is no way that I can make my challenge. I lost a pound this week :bounce: putting me at 4/13. I cannot make 9 more by the new year, so I'll be happy if I maintain (I seem to have THAT down pat :rolleyes: ) and I'll be ecstatic if I can get my 70 pound clippie. Still something to aim for, but the way that I have stalled, and my weird "holiday schedule" with the kids and rehearsals and concerts and get togethers, I have to be realistic. Oh, and I am NOT weighing myself every day---once a week will do. Take heart! We can do this, albeit s-l-o-w-l-y.

Congrats to the rest of you that are on track (or zooming past the station!) Weigh to go! Keep up the good work!

Hello Guys!!

Six weeks of the challenge gone - to me the time seems to have flown by!! Lots of us, me included, are going to find our goals a little tough to meet, but don't let numbers bother you too much!! I am glad I started this challenge as it as helped keep me on program even when temptations have been strong! I hope it is being some help to you all as well!! Three weeks of the challenge left to try to loose a few more pounds & I wish us all good luck!

My news for this week is that I stayed the same - I wish I had lost - but there you go! I was trying to add more carbs in the form of veg to my diet - I also - for the first time - added the wonderful treat of jelly & cream twice in the past week. I have been finding induction rules very diffficult to stick to - I have been on induction for the past nine weeks now & was beginning to find it frustrating!! New week starts here!

So how have you done? I know it gets tougher each week now with holiday treats everywhere - but do share how you have done!

I'm back from MIL's and WDW. The last time I posted I was 4/12. I met my thanksgiving goal of 5 pounds, so that made me 5/12. But I gained 1 pound during vacation, but I have lost 1/2 pound since getting back. So now that makes me 4.5/12. Sorry if that was confusing I just wanted to let everyone see how I did while at WDW. I know a lot of us wonder how we will do on vacation. I don't know if I will make my goal, but I 'm going to try to get as close as I can.
I think Claire is right, the numbers aren't really the most important thing. We are all getting more healthy and losing those pounds. It doesn't matter if you get it done by New Year's, just as long as you keep on striving for your goal. Good luck this week everyone!:sunny:
 
I've been doing surprisingly well this week. This was the week I'd hoped to announce that I'd met my 20 lb. goal, but alas, it's 19.5! So close. Next week I'll be there, for sure.

Thanks again to all of you (especially Claire) for continuing this thread and being such great cheerleaders. I KNOW that I've been kept in line knowing that I needed to check in once a week. I can't wait to see how far in the dust that original 20 lb. goal is by New Year's! Keep up the good work, everyone - we can do this.
 
I think jogging in the mornings (instead of walking) has really kicked up my weight loss - another 3 pounds this week. Yippee! I also decided to officially change my New Year's goal from 19 to 23 pounds - aiming for my 50-pound clippie! So, at this point I'm 18/23 for the challenge.

Keep it up, everyone! Let's prove to everyone (including ourselves) that it's possible to have a healthy holiday season and a great time, all in one!
 
Well, last week I was 4.5/15, but then I spent 4 days at WDW. I will fess up, I cheated (well, basically, I just threw the diet out the window). I gained 4 pounds while I was gone :( But, those 4 are gone again now, so I am still at 4.5/15. I will be much better this week tho :)

I've not had a very good couple of weeks either - 2 office Christmas do's over the last fortnight.....I put 1lb on the first week and lost it the second! So I'm still at 5/15 and I pretty much know I'll not make my target, but I'll just keep going!
 
Hello All - we are really at the toughest end of this challenge now - so everyone just to your best and don't worry about the envitable slips and little treats - don't be hard of your self - this is the holidays and you do deserve it!!

Suzy Mouse - First a welcome to Suzy Mouse who has decided to join us for the last three weeks of the challenge trying to loose 7lb - a great big welcome to you & you go for it!!

lulu201 - another 2lbs is excellent - what a great job you are doing!! 7/10 - you can make your goal - go for it!!

mommyflower - well done on loosing your gain - good for you! I say only a pound at WDW is pretty impressive!! 4.5/12 - just try to keep going and do the best you can by New Year!

kasar - you one of the biggest success stories in our little group & boy should you be proud of yourself!! Can't wait to celebrate with you next week - getting to goal & beyond!!

AprilN - another person who has done fantastically well!! Another three pound this week - how great is that!! At 18/23 & with you making such good progress I am sure you can make your new mini-goal!!

jazyjewel - hugs to you & thanks for checking in - I hope you had tons of fun at WDW - and well done on loosing the 4lb you gained! Don't put pressure on yourself about the numbers & just try to stick to your plan as much as you can this week!

AlisonB - this is the time with the most treats & temptations around so I really do believe it is hard work not to gain at this time! Well done of loosing the pound you gained and the best of luck with the coming week!!

Everyone - please check-in if you can - and don't focus on the numbers of your goal if you are struggling (like I am!!) just make the best choices you can & if you cheat DO NOT beat yourself up about it - just take the next day as it comes.

I lost 1 lb this week so I still have 7 more to go. I'm not sure if that will happen but I'm so happy to be in the 170s for the first time in about 6 years so no matter what it will be a success.
 
honeymo78 - well done you! You are so right you are a success - how great to be in the 170s - I feel the same way about the 180s right now - but can't wait to join you a little lower! One more pound gone is good & even maintaining is a challenge with so many holiday events going on!
 
Hello All - hope you have all had a good week - I hope to see as many as possible checking in to share how they are doing!!

I feel we are really at the tough end of the challenge now - two weeks left but those two weeks contain Christmas & New Years!! It will be a real acheivement to loose during these two weeks - and if you stay the same you will have done some fantastic work! If you gain remember - there aren't holiday parties & family gatherings like this every week of the year & the New Year brings a new start!

Well, I am pleased with the past week - I cut back the few extras like jelly & more low carb veg I had added - so I was back to induction rules again. I lost 2lb this week - which after no loss last week I am delighted with. I am so pleased to now be in the 180s!! I am 10/20 for the challenge - so I have no chance of making it to my goal - but at least I am half way there!! I hope to maintain in the coming week - as I have a big cheat day planed - my birthday on Sunday! I see chocolate cake & wine on the horizon for the first time in a long while!!

Good morning everyone! Only 6 more shopping days left and, boy, am I feeling the pinch!

As for the challenge I'm at 21/20! I've even grabbed my new 20 lb. clippie. Let's hope I keep it for a while.

Everyone is doing so great - can't wait to see what our total loss is in January. We have much to be proud of.
 
Hi all, I'm back from my 16 day trip to WDW and it's great to be reading lots of success stories. I put 1lb on while I was gone so that now puts me at 11/20. I don't think it will be possible for me to reach my New Year goal, but I am going to get as close as I possibly can. Good luck to all, we can do this :hyper:
 
What was I thinking!?! I ate breakfast today before I came to work and weighed myself. Plus during dance class last night I helped myself to the snacks that everyone brought in. Dance a little...snack a little...

So put me down for a loss of 1 pound. I'll weigh myself on Monday before breakfast to get a more accurate number.

I lost 1/2 pound this week, which makes me 5/12. It is TOM so I hope maybe next week will be better. Good luck this week everyone! Happy Holidays!:D
