New Lens ~ Example pics needed

My DH bought me a new lens as an anniversary gift yesterday (our 15th).

He got me the: Canon EF 70-200 f2.8L USM lens (there is no IS on it).

He got it for me also, in part, because in summer 2013 our oldest DD and I will be going to Spain for 10 days. I've already been looking at lenses that I'd like to rent to take - this one I can scratch off of my list now!

I tend to like to go super wide (my fisheye is one of my favs) rather than zoom. Do any of you have this lens (or one of a different model that is comparable)? If so, would you mind attaching some pics you've taken with it? I've only had a few minutes to take a couple of snapshots with it - really hoping that this weekend I can get out and play with it.

After attaching it to my 50D with the battery grip as well as speedlight, I'm thinking that I may need to get one of those straps that has 2 arm holes in it. (I have no idea who makes those, or even what the 'technical' name is for it - just know that my neoprene strap gave barely any supprort to such a monster).

A good strap is important and you're right, the stretchy neoprene one's can to stretch too much (some, not all). I have a Crumpler Industry disgrace which has neoprene, but it's also got cordura. It holds the weight of my 50D and heavy lenses easily.

I have the 70-200mm f/4. (No IS on mine either). I only have 2 on my flickr account (so far!) because I am not far in on my TR yet! Here are the 2 that I took with the lens, on my T1i.

These were taken with my Sigma 70-200 f2.8. I carry my camera on a Black Rapid strap. With my lenses that have a tripod collar, I attach the strap to the collar. The camera is then very well balanced on my side.
