We're back!! We had a great time at the POFQ. The weather was crazy but that worked in our favor a bit as the crowds were lower than expected.

I hope to get my pictures uploaded and processed soon - I took over 1,000 pictures so it may take a while.

In this report I will have reviews of the following restaurants:
(I hope to add links here as I go...)

Le Cellier
Starring Rolls
Tangerine Cafe
Liberty Tree Tavern (character breakfast)
'Ohana
Yak & Yeti
Columbia Harbour House
Sunshine Seasons
Teppan Edo
Sassagoula Food Court

So come join me as I relive our trip here and on my Posterous account.

Thanks!

A quick run down of the who, what & where:

Me - middle aged, SAHM - I love to plan vacations and have found that Disney planning is really fun.
DSis - we will call her Miss Bianca
DS aka Goofy - just turned 5 years old - this was his birthday trip.

We left the DHs and my DS 12yo at home this trip.

Dates: Feb 4 - 9, 2010
Resort: Port Orleans French Quarter
Extras: The Regular Disney Dining Plan (DDP) & $500 Gift Card from the promo.

Our first night was at EPCOT and I was lucky enough to score an ADR for Le Cellier at 7pm. We got to the park before 6 so we had time to ride Test Track and my DS's favorite, Three Cabelleros. We got to Le Cellier early and luckily enough they sat us by 6:45 - we were hungry.

Miss Bianca and I had Strawberry smoothies while DS had a milkshake. We dug into the bread right away.

DS ordered the Meaty Mac with carrot sticks and apples. We didn't realize until after dinner that we never received the carrot sticks but that was alright because there was plenty of food. DS didn't eat too many of the apples because they were really tart. He did enjoy the rest of the meal and ate over half of it - it was a big serving.

Miss Bianca and I both ordered the NY Strip - it was so delicious!

As a special birthday dessert, I ordered the Pirate's Treasure Celebration Cake before we left - it was a hit!

Miss Bianca had the chocolate Moose and I had the 'Smores. Both were very good. We were stuffed by the time we were done.

Le Cellier did not disappoint! We will be back!

I'll add the cost & DDP breakdown here in a little while.

After Le Cellier we wandered around EPCOT for a while riding Figment, Soarin' and Nemo. We left at about 9pm just as the fireworks were starting; we were too tired from traveling to stick around.

I had heard some negative comments about the buses to and from POFQ but we were very lucky. We never waited longer than ten minutes. There were a few times when we left the parks late that the buses were packed but it wasn't too bad at all.

Day 2: DHS and EPCOT

We woke up early and had breakfast in the room. We had ordered water, yogurt, juice and more from WeGoShop. I was happy with this service and the price was right. We had a few things left over at the end of the trip so I'm not sure I would do groceries again if we do the DDP.

We headed out to DHS and got there half an hour before opening. We were first at a turnstile and then first at the rope. I was very excited by this because I really wanted to get early fast passes for Toy Story Mania.

We rocked the FPs this whole trip. I was first at the TSM fast pass machine! So we hopped into the standby line which said 20 minutes but it was more like 7. DS rode with Miss Bianca while I rode alone. We had fun!

After riding TSM we ran into a Green Army man so we got an autograph then moseyed on to the Backlot tour.

I had used Touring Plans to create plans for each of our park days. These were neatly typed out and laminated with a park map on 3x5 cards. Due to the weather and lack of crowds, today's plan was tossed out the window!

We went on the first Backlot tour of the morning because we were worried that it was going to rain. I took lots of pictures and hope to add them to my posterous account soon; I'll link to it when I do.

After the Backlot tour we visited with the Power Rangers and then went back to ride TSM with our FPs. before getting in line we got another set of FPs to ride it in the afternoon.

For lunch we had Starring Rolls - Yum!

Miss Bianca and I both got Ham Sandwiches with chips. I shared mine with DS who picked a marble cupcake for our dessert. Miss Bianca had a chocolate croissant. For drinks we had chocolate milk and coffee.

While I rode the Tower of Terror, Miss Bianca and DS had ice cream from Scoops. No pic of the ice cream but here is the sign:
