?New Le Cellier Dinner Menu?

We must remember most people go to a restaurant having no idea what's on the menu. Only we obsessive planners scour menus months in advance. The average guest won't need a menu, until they sit down to dinner, or check the outside board. LC could pretty much fill up with walk-ins only.

I hope for everyone's sake they keep the mushroom filet on the lunch menu, but I would assume that was the item that prompted the switch to 2 TS in the first place. That's a high priced entree for 1 TS. I suppose they could lessen the quality (if that's even possible), or make it a smaller cut. Let's hope they find a happy medium, so those going for lunch can still get their favorites. I don't think anyone should be shocked to see it disappear though.

This is EXACTLY what my thoughts were on the matter!

We pay OOP with TIW and I changed our June ADR from lunch to dinner. DH loves the filet and I didn't want him to be disappointed.

Gasp! I'm glad I found this thread!!!! I'm having my agent make my ADRs for us tomorrow and we wanted LeCellier for lunch - my son's favorite place! When we were there in '09 they had the NY strip (which my son thoroughly enjoyed) as well as the mushroom fillet (which is what I'm looking forward to) on the lunch menu, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that those items won't change. I wouldn't use 2 credits for dinner. I've eaten venison many times in my younger years (my dad was a Bambi Killer) and couldn't stand it then and see no reason why I should like it now!!!:lmao:

I will look forward to Le Cellier no matter what! I guess the obsessive planner in me likes to look at menus first. I like to know so that I can be sure that there is something that my 12yo DS will enjoy and he loves the mushroom filet. As long as that is there for him to enjoy, I look forward to trying some of the new items at dinner and having the filet at lunch. Thanks everyone for all of your input!!

I was told that they are making Le Cellier a signature restaurant not because of the price, but because of the availability. Le Cellier is a smaller restaurant with a high demand. The person I spoke with said that you could get a better meal at Yachtman's Steakhouse, but that will always be one credit because it is a bigger place. I am debating about which one to choose...

Looking forward to seeing the new menu!

Also looking forward to the new menu. I booked both lunch and dinner for May. I would love to see another filet dish (they use to have two different ones).

That person is wrong, because the Yachtsman is a 2-TS Signature Dining restaurant.

Yachtsman is larger but it is also a signature restaurant and requires 2ts. However, IMHO they are correct; you can get a better meal at Yachtsman than at Le'Cellier. :goodvibes
