New Kona Menu

They also removed the Kona Chowder that I had last summer and replaced it with the Shrimp & Curry Soup.:sad2: Very bummed cause I loved that soup. It was like a shrimp and crab chowder...yum.

The shrimp and curry soup is delicious! We had a group lunch there week before last and that was my starter. I could have just had a couple of cups of that and been happy! :lovestruc

I disagree, and I would never make ADRs based on one menu item. The menus could never be published that early in advance, food costs change, as do seasonal items.

I don't have to worry anymore about the NEW menu at Kona's. I canceled Kona, and switched my ADR to Narcoossee's!!!! Yeah, that's the ticket!!!! :goodvibes :cool1:

I ate at Kona's on August 15th. My step-daughter 11 had the prime rib and she said it was good, but she didn't eat a lot of it. Over all, menu aside we were very disappointed in Kona and will not be eating there again. We had ADR's for 5 pm. We were seated in an emptry restaurant and watched a few people trickle in. Definitely not crowded. It took quite awhile just to give our drink orders, and even longer to receive our drinks. For our entrees, my husband and I both had the shrimp and scallops and dd had the prime rib. The little ones shared a mac and cheese I believe. After watching EVERYONE in the restaurant who came in after us get there food and most of them finish and leave, our entrees finally make it to the table. No apology for the tardiness. We were there for at least 2 hours! And I had to ask for my lapu lapu twice before she brought it to me...and then I think they left the alcohol out of it.

I had the filet a couple times at Kona's and never liked it. I gave it 2 times to get it right but it was nasty. It tasted like liver and was mealy, for lack of a better word. There is a difference between mealy and tender and it was just mealy. I don't think that is a big loss if anyone doesn't get to try it.

Here are lunch and dinner and dessert menus that I took today. Sorry that they are tilted and there is a small reflection but I am a shorty and the menu is posted pretty high up

No we didnt eat there this time, we are here in WDW now and are staying at the Poly so it was easy for me to swing by and snap a pic ;)

thanks for posting the menus! As long as the sticky wings are on there we are good to go!

Thanks for posting I was on the site earlier today and it was the old menu. I have one of those PICKY kids that is a TRUE carnivore, so I am hoping he'll just choose one of those other meats. Anyone ever try the prime rib? Is it VERY fatty? I know it is known to have the fat but sometimes it is just plain GROSS!

Any input appreciated!

Prime Rib there is delicious!
