New Kitchen or stay at a Deluxe Resort?

Deluxe.

Unless it involves something being broken (new HVAC this year, roof last year), all of my extra money goes to Disney vacations.

BTW. I love my 60's kitchen. Old cabinets, formica counters, floral wallpaper, vinyl composite tile floor. I have replaced all the appliances as they've worn out. Replaced the stove last year - it was a 1976 almond beauty. No stainless steel though. Steel is for maroons that like cleaning up children's greasy fingerprints.

New kitchen! Mine was updated within the last 6 years but it was a cheap job and the previous owners had a wild puppy it seems. I’d like new cabinets, flooring, and a different layout.

Are their other options... Like updating the kitchen and downgrading the stay &/or pushing the date out a little? I might go with a compromise to both.

I'd probably do the kitchen and also a shorter trip at a lower priced resort. Best of both worlds!

If during COVID with so many reduced services new kitchen for sure. Otherwise, it is a toss up for me!

You know they make steel appliances that don’t show fingerprints, right? The early models did show fingerprints. Mine now do not. Guess you can call me a moron who loves her Black stainless kitchenaid appliances!!

My first house had an old kitchen. Could not wait to bring it into the 21st century.

To answer the OP’s question - I would update my kitchen. You can enjoy it every day. Take the disney vacation next year.

Kitchen. When you eventually sell your house you will hopefully be able to sell it for more, which means a nicer house or a nice vacation. Think of it as an investment for the future. Plus, assuming you're staying in your house for a while, you'll be using that kitchen for years to come. The other option lasts ten days.
