I finally hopped on the bandwagon and pre-ordered the Kindle 3. SOooo excited since I LOVE to read.
My only concern is that I borrow a lot of books from the library to save money. Is there any way to borrow the ebooks from the library and somehow convert it to put on the Kindle?
Thanks. :thumbsup2

Library ebooks don't work on a kindle. There are long convoluted ways of converting them, but very few people bother. There are enough free books - both classics and modern books - to keep the don't want to pay crowd happy. If you go to amazon's kindle page, you should be able to find their top free book selections and can see how extensive it is

Nook has a wi fi and you can use it for e-library books. They are just like regular library books where you have to wait to use them and only get them for a period of time.

I've read that there is a way. Most people say its a confusing process. I know there are a few people on the disboards who will reply to this post and say thats its super easy to convert them. I've read the process and its way too confusing for me!

That is what I got a Nook instead. I want to be able to easily have my library ebooks on my ereader. I can download a library book to my nook in about 30 seconds. :)

I know you preordered the Kindle so maybe someone here will be able to give you a link to the process of of unlocking and converting the books??
