Dave - Last 8 miler I did was back in December before my surgery and I ran it at an average pace of 9:57. I can't WAIT til I can get back up to a comfortable 8 miles. Once I start upping my miles from there I might hold back my pace a little. I'd like to run the Akron half at a pace of 11.
And to all that are wishing my thighs well...I'll just say this: Lumpy legs run in my family..at my thinnest in 2003 (5'7" and 124), I still had bad legs. I just assumed that when I started running, that the shape would change a bit. Hasn't happened yet no matter how many squats, leg lifts or miles ran. Oh well.
OK..and here's something
that I'd like to throw out there...can we have team shirts for the marathon? Like the normal green WISH shirts with a Hakuna Matata twist? I'm really particular in my comfort level when I run..so I'm not sure about the actual marathon itself but for the dinner, pre-race, post-race, etc.
How many of you actually wear the WISH team shirt to run in for the actual marathon? They don't look comfy.
