If the water was warm enough to swim in in May, the prices for hotels would be higher. It will be far too cold to actually swim. September, and even sometimes early October, are much warmer and less money.

I grew up in NJ, and until last year I didn't know that ocean water could get warm!

May.. the air will be warm but the water will be cold!
