I'm glad that those who have not had the virtual means to get a flip hat will be able to do. What I don't understand is why VMK just wouldn't release a different color flip hat? They could have easily released, say a red flip hat, and appeased all who had wanted one.

Not really. It still would have left all those people wanting the Green hat. While I like the idea of more colors of things, it still would not solve the problem of people wanting certain items. There are many people who favor certain colors over others. While I don't like green, there are tons of people who absolutely love the color. I love red, but others hate it. So if they sold a red hat one day and I joined after that and wasn't able to get it, I would forever and always be wanting that hat.

At this rate I really do hope that VMK decides to release the much rarer items, because they're making it that much more impossible to be able to trade for them. Sometimes I really don't understand VMK's thinking, but I guess that's why they get paid the big bucks.

Actually, I wish they would re-release some of the beta that has yet to be out again.

What ever happened to having quests for these items? They did a quest for the pink shoe. Why not have a quest for the pink tiki idol? That would be perfect for this month. And it would limit how many people can get. While there are those with tons of mules, if the quest were run for only a day, it would still end up being rare down the line.

What they need to do is start releasing for sale some of the really sacred cows... the Pink Tiki, Mighty Eye, Inferno, Cyan Ariel, Red Teepee, etc. That'd polarize everyone - You'd have half the people rantingly Mad (ie people who already have it, especially those that recently traded the moon for it) and the other half estatically Happy (those that dont' have it).

Oh pretty please?!! I'll even throw some sugar on top if needed.

Bug thanks for posting the new items again this week.

As far as the re-release of any items go I see it as perhaps vmk's way to cut down on some of the scams out there. An easy, immediate way that does not require a lot of systems changes which would mean time consuming programming, testing etc. And maybe in the background the team is working on a more permanent upgrade to trading to make trading things safer.

(Just my spin on it. Although I did not have flip, I did trade a lot for some of the other re-released items.)

I also didn't see the flip coming either... But certinly agee with Souper!! Its unbelieveable what people was trading them for!!

But then we also know that eventually all things comes back out! Nothing is ever rare on VMK as we should all know by now!! Personally I think its a good thing. And it seems like we go through this everytime they re-release a rare item again! I couldn 't believe how much winning there was of people in the emporuim this morning ov this. Hey...it just gives everyone else a chance to get it. I am sure people will be upset hearing this..but its just a game and I think that its good to re-release items again!!

Now what do we think of the chances of ...inferno? hummmm

I'd disagree with that. I'd wager the vast majority of players wouldn't care what color the hat was. Just so long as they had an oh so cool flip hat.

So if they sold a red hat one day and I joined after that and wasn't able to get it, I would forever and always be wanting that hat.

That's what trading is for.

Actually... Yavn said the baseball suits would be release before Sept. if I remember correctly! And there was a red girls baseball suit..although some call it some call it purple! SI see them coming in the next couple weeks!! He just didn't say what color they would be!!

I think anything that was sold in the stores will be up to be re-released.. Park stuff will probably be safe.. ( So my bird will become more and more rare.. YAY!! )

Just for my own clarification - do you mean the Seagull's Nest Hat that used to be rare but since December has been very easy to obtain? The bird hat from what used to be known as Pirate Quest (now Pirate Pin Set Item) has been increasing dramatically in number in-game since December. I'm sure someday people will realize that those Pirate Pin Set Items aren't even close to being rare.

Anyway, Princess Minnie Hat next week, anyone?

Not really sure there's a point there. If someone is trading something you want, it's your decision whether to meet their asking price or not.

The real question is how many people have traded for a flip hat today, not knowing it's currently on sale? That's the real scamming going on.

I am a bit divided into two opinions from one point of view, it is nice for the newbies or the people who never get the chance to get that hat and the past one but I wonder if I will still have a chance to get sparrow suit (even just the top >_<) because the rarity of things dropped (dont tell me it is not the case)

Now the dream part of my post, an ATIS month with the mighty eye pin as a host pin would be so cool for people who are fan of that attraction (dont tell me that I cant be a fan because I never got the chance to ride it bc of my age)and never got the chance to get the pin bc of the trading value '_'

I wonder if we will see 'the' green tiki idol in shop this month

Ummm. Did you not read the rest of my post? Why do you think some people would rather have the yellow dress rather than the pink? Many people do care what color of something they have.

Not really sure there's a point there. If someone is trading something you want, it's your decision whether to meet their asking price or not.

And the asking price is exactly why some people won't ever get something so rare. I will Never get Inferno because I won't meet the asking price set by everyone.
And while there probably was some scamming today, that happens a lot. But if you can't keep up with what's in the stores, then that's your problem and you have no business trading. You need to be educated before trading.

In game quests would be good for these items too. They can make them semi-difficult and only have them run for one day at most. It would put more of those items in the game and yet somewhat control how many would be available
