So i called today they said applications will be going up in February (this is old news) but they also said they are going to try to change the applications so that they are online instead of written which is awesome because now i dont have to pay to fax! Well thats all i wanted to say good luck on applications everyone!

I never faxed mine, I scanned and e-mailed it and I did careerstart in Fall 08
But yeah writing was still required >_>

We are not recruiting for the Disney CareerStart Program at the
Walt Disney World® Resort this Spring.

This is what it says now...what the heck is this? Are they not doing Careerstart anymore?!?!

Edit says the same for Disneyland Resort so maybe they mean they aren't taking apps right now?

It looks like they aren't recruiting this semester.

they did this a few years ago too.

I still see on the website that they still have Spring Advantage and Fall Programs. Maybe they just meant that they no longer do a Spring Program and only do a Spring Advantage program from now on?

I'm not sure! I know in 2009 they canceled one of the CareerStart Programs and had only CPs so this could be that again. I guess I'll have to wait and see! Little longer to wait isn't a bad thing!

That was the semester after I did CareerStart. They didn't really cancel our program (the 08 one) but they sort of asked almost all of us if we would defer our program till the next semester. Of course almost all of us said NO. Lol. There was a bit of uproar on our FB group about it that year.

It kind of sucks because I was hoping to move back down this fall I might save money and do it the old fashion way it's just so hard to get a job there if you're not already a CM of some sort.

Yep i called yesterday and they said they arent doing careerstart for 2011... i guess its spring cp for me

Yeah I'm going to take a couple classes this summer and next fall so I can do Spring CP and hopefully get Advantage!

I just talked to a friend of mine who did the CS Fall 2010 and he said they told him they are doing an advantage period. I'm going to call today when I get off work. Just a heads up to you guys...
