You may want to consider returning it... wait until next week. Speculation is that at the WWDC next week, Apple will announce new iPhones.... They are rumored to be released mid July. The phones are rumored to drop in price to $149 or $99 and have a couple of options... so you might be able to return, wait a month and get the same phone for cheaper OR a better phone for the same price. With AT&T you should have a 30 day return policy.

We asked them about it and they said the only change is going to be that they will come out with a 32 and 64gb iPhones everything else will stay the same

The problem with that statement is that no one really knows until the keynote at WWDC. A third party seller in the US and another in Europe have shown inventory "placeholders" for 16s and 32s at a price point consistent with the 8s and 16s now. My associate at work just bought one and is waiting to see if he wants to upgrade. Additionally, the likely new features (as I said, nothing's certain yet) may be enough to change your decision.

That all said, doesn't ATT's 30 day return policy still apply? Still plenty of time to think about it. I know I'm waiting until next week, but that's just me. YMMV.

I wouldn't return it. As many know, I wrestled with the idea of getting an iPhone for exactly five and a half weeks this spring. When I finally decided, I then was concerned that I'd miss out on features from a new one. When I read all of the rumors and talked with AT & T and people on the boards, I decided that there is always going to be something newer. The higher processor speed and possibility of a flash for a camera was not enough for me to wait. Just remember, IF it comes out in July, you then have to deal with getting it. At my local AT & T stores, that would mean having your name put on a list and then waiting several more weeks for it to come in due to high demand.

I also want to let you know that all of the new software features that will be on the allegedly "new" iPhone coming out will be a free upgrade from iTunes to your iPhone. I really see this as a win win situation because of that.

Enjoy your phone. I am 100% addicted and can't imagine living without it now.

Enjoy - I wouldn't be without mine :)

You have 30 days to return it so have no fear. We should all know tomorrow what the new Iphone will have. Once they announce it if the specs knock your socks off then return it. I still have the 1st gen Iphone and waiting to see what the new one will have.

Yes....we all knoiw. We've all had counseling to try and forget. :lmao:

In other words.......Kevin was right.:banana::banana::banana:

Congrats on your new iPhone tlhbdm.:thumbsup2

Technically you are NOT right because for you to BE right I'd have to have gotten a totally different phone and then regretted getting it. :upsidedow Heh...beat that oh wise one. :rotfl:;)

"Nikki...buy the iPhone."

"Nikki ...get the iPhone."

"Nikki...you will be sorry if you dont get an iPhone."

"Nikki....just get the $#%$& iPhone,"

If you had gotten the Verizon Fiasco ...or whatever it was you were looking at....would you be sorry you didnt have an iPhone?

The answer to that question is YES.

The only conclusion we can come to.....Kevin was right. :thumbsup2

I have the Dis wherever I go. Even download the DisUnplugged straight to my BLACKBERRY. I don't need no stinkin Iphone. Seriously, enjoy your new toy!

I finaly got one a few months ago and loved it.

My wife keep nagging me about whats the big fuss, why do I use it all the time, men with thier toys, yada yada.

So I did something about it. I bought her one.

Needless to say she had caught hell from me since. I now call here an Iphone geek.

The Kindle app is her favorite.

I just wish there was so kind of Calendar OTA sync for her.

See...they were wrong about it. NEVER listen to ATT reps... they are as reliable as Disney Bus Drivers.

Now the 8gb phone is $99. The new 16 gb is $199 and the 32GB is $299... The 3Gs is faster and has better battery life. Has voice controls, a new better camera and video camera functionality. It comes out the 19th.

You are better off returning your phone for this... if you an 8GB get your hundred dollars back (you can do it today). If you bought the 16GB then go get your $100 and a better phone or get a bigger, better phone for what you paid. Either way, it makes sense to return it.

I believe you have 30 days from the time of purchase to return your phone and get the upgrade at the price difference. I was at Best Buy and the AT&T store last week. Both reps I spoke with told me this after we had the "possible new IPhone" discussion.

I'd agree with you IF it was coming out months from now. But especially since we now know its coming end of June, its well worth it for her to return it and pick up a new one. She'll either save $100, get a better phone or both.
I would have recommended return for any release date before July 31.
