New iPhone! Update got a refund!!!

I have been a lurker here on the Dis and just recently found the Podcast and this forum. You guys are great! I bought an iPhone on May 23rd and when I saw the info here about the possible refunds, I called ATT. They are giving me the $100 refund. Thanks again everyone!

Hi All!

I just wanted to let you know that I went to AT&T yesterday about my refund. Even without the box or my receipt, they were able to issue me a $100 refund for the 3G I bought last month. I also had the option of being put on a wait list for the new phone, but I am not interested. It has next to nothing that my 3G doesn't and once the software upgrade is out, it'll be even better. Thanks for your help!

I bought the new one and have a month left on my Verizon account.

Can someone tell me about how to get AT&T to pay half my early termination fee as mentioned above?? The fee I owe is going to be onl $60 because I will have one month left in my contract...

and to think all I have is a prepaid Tracfone that I hardly ever use...

those with iphones, do you also have a land line? or does the iphone do it all?

Living in Central Maine as you do, you cannot be without a land line. The coverage is terrible. I am in the more populated part of the state and still can't be without a land line. Our camp is in central Maine and we barely get coverage anywhere within a 20-mile radius.

On a separate note, I bought an iPhone about a year ago and HATED it. Blaspheme, I know. I so wanted to love it, but just never did. I returned it after 2 weeks for a full refund.

However, since I am literally the only person on the planet who hated this, I keep thinking it must have been something I was doing wrong and so I an toying with the idea of trying again.

So at the risk of sounding like Nikki--should I try again and get an iPhone???

Well I really hope my IPhone comes on Friday because I am porting my number from Verizon and they already ported it. So now I have no cell phone for the rest of the week.

You're right cell phone coverage is awful here! I thought it was just where I lived. Like Mainegal, I only have a Tracfone So maybe I guess that it doesn't matter that no one calls me, I wouldn't get reception anyway! Yeah that's it...
