New Info About the MNSSHP issues

It's not a matter of them allowing them to attend the event. It's a matter of them not being able to do an effective sweep if they have the park close and the party start at the exact same time. You can think we're overreacting all you'd like...but the fact remains that there will be a difference in effectiveness when you have an hour to clear out and when you have NO time to clear out.
But will you agree that those people who are suggesting/fearing that Disney will not make an effort to shoo people out are over reacting?

If Disney doesn't respond soon, maybe we could start another email campaign that should WDW need assistanTS in cleaning the park out before the MNSSHP, WE Disers volunteer to help and we'll work for room 'n board. :rotfl2:

I'll agree that they'd make the effort. but in the past years an hour wasn't a feasible amount of time to sweep the parks and shoo them out. we've seen people at 9:00 being confronted by the CM's and forced to leave.

Maybe in an effort to ensure all people are out of the park, they won't let the party ticket people in before 7 either. This way there won't be anyone in the park who doesn't need to be and they can make sure everyone leaves on time.

Doubt it. That would mean day guests stay till exactly 7:00p and party guests enter at exactly 7:00p. I think it would be a major mad house and it would mean day guests would surely still be around at 7:00p and party guests wouldn't get in till way after 7:00p just due to the sheer number of people entering/exiting.

I am very happy to hear this is turning out well.

We shouldn't be too hard find. Just look for some Canadian Royalty. :thumbsup2 Daughter wants to be a princess so we are going in Red and White "royal" costumes made by my wife.

Well, I got a response. :(

It was in a phone message. I was out all day.

She said she was Michelle from the "Executive Offices of Disney". That she was sorry I was upset by what I had heard.

She said that they have decided to handle MNSSHP/MVMCP like EMH. That they learned from past experience that it is no longer necessary to close the park to clear it of day guests.

They will keep the park open. There will be greeters at all locations (trick or treat, rides, food place) to turn away those guests without wristbands, and move them to the front of park and out by 7:00p.

She said all offerings will require wristbands and no party festivities will happen on Main Street till all day guests are gone.

She said it will basically work like EMH.

Finally, she said my comments and concerns are very much appreciated and that they will be shared with the office/executives.

I'm a little disappointed to say the least but I'll hope for the best. This year could be my last party. :(

We went to MNSSHP in 2004. We ate at LTT at 6:00. When we came out, the park had "transformed" into the Halloween party atmosphere. When do you think this will happen now? I guess it wasn't that big a deal, but it did seem like it had been "decorated" a bit. Does that make sense or am I not remembering correctly?

You are correct. For that hour the park was closed they did all the deocrations/lights/smoke/music/trick or treat balloons. They'll have to do that in front of us now.

I emailed WDW and got a response from April McKenzie in the executive offices. She asked me to phone her to discuss the situation. Anyway, she told me that the park was closing at 7PM and that all people without tickets would be asked to leave. She also said that CM's at rides and booths would be looking out for those without wristbands, and would ask them to leave and point them in the direction of the exits. She also told me that I could get in around 5 PM instead of waiting until 7 PM. She certainly made it sould like everything would be fine and that people are getting worked up for nothing. BUT, of course she is going to make it seem like it's no big deal. ANyway, I had this conversation with her on Thursday, so maybe things have changed since then. I sent my email to 2 addresses I got off the boards but only got a response with this one: WDW.Guest.Communications@disneyworld.com

I hope it all works out. I've never been to MNNSHP before. I'll be there Thursday Oct. 5. I can't decide if I should pay a day admission so I can be in the park before the party starts or just take my chances and try to get in later. I really don't want to spend the whole day at the park and then stay late at night. I don't think my kids would last. I also don't want to waste an entire days ticket just so I can get in a couple of hours before the party begins....

That just doesn't seem fair. We are paying extra to go to an "event". It just doesn't seem right. I think we may re-consider going to the party when we go to WDW in October this year.

So after reading what has been told to others I shot off another email to WDW Guest Communications. Asking for clarification basically.

My DH brought up a good point though, in the beginning of Sept. there is another hard ticket event happening at MK. Some Christian Rock Concert. The concert starts at 7:30 pm. They are closing the park at 6. So wait, for this concert they will close down and make sure everyone is out AN HOUR AND A HALF before the TICKETED event, but MNSSHP they won't and will just treat it like EMH?

What? Why? How is that FAIR? GRRRRRR...seriously thinking about selling my tickets on Ebay I'm getting so mad about this. I know I should have faith and clap and believe but honestly I'm getting a bit ticked. It's about 3 weeks until the first MNSSHP and NOONE is saying the same thing when you call or email! Executive Offices seem to be nonchalantly breaking the whole FALSE ADVERTISEMENT deal by NOT closing early and removing all guests who do not have a ticket. Then the poor CMs that have to answer the phones are telling us that THEY ARE closing an hour early and shooing the nonpaid people out. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is itching!!!!!

I guess it's still a wait and see for the first party but I feel soooo bad for those at the first party and being guinea pigs! :confused3

Let's make shirts that say "I paid for the party-DID YOU????" Or how about shirts that just say "GET OUT!" :rotfl:
