I'm not good at interpreting all the legalese but the flier states that :
" Certificates are non-transferrable, non-assignable, and may not be sold, traded, transferred, encumbered, bequeathed, bartered, refunded, or redeemed for cash and shall be void if sold or otherwise transferred for cash or other consideration. " Now whether this means that only people in the same household/family of the purchasing member are eligible, I don't know....jmho but I'd think ~maybe~ if a purchaser doesn't have 8 in their immediate family then maybe it would be allowed to give Certificates to extended family. It does state that Certificates for WDW passes can be redeemed at any time, no cut-off date is given for redemption of WDW Certificates ( only DLR passes must be redeemed by June 30 2011 ) so I don't know? could that then mean if purchasing family is only a family of 4 for example if they can redeem 4 only and then when those passes expire they can redeem the remaining 4. It is best to call guide and ask.
This is important to note : Certificates for passes will NOT be issued if financing for as many as 17 months. The flier states the following
" ......if financing, make monthly loan installments and be in good standing on their Membership for up to 17 months (based on down payment and length of loan) before receiving their 8 WDW pass or 8 DLR pass Certificates."
For add-on Certificates for passes may not be issued for up to 14 months if financing depending upon down payment & length of loan.
Good luck & hope you'll post back if you find out any more details.
