New Incentive: 3 Day Cruise

We just did an add-on of 125 points last month, and today I just noticed on the DVCmember website they are offering a 3 night cruise with at least 100 add-on points... Does anyone know when this offer started? I'm tempted to contact our guide to see if there is anything she can do about getting us this incentive but I'm not sure if would do anything for us... Has anyone else had this happen, if so, were you sucessful in getting the incentive???

It depends on if you have closed or not. If you haven't closed they can pull the contract and rewrite it. Also to get the cruise you have to pay full price for the points.

The incentive started one week ago on Mar 6th.

Contact your guide and find out if your add on has closed. If it did, then they can't change your incentive.

However, if it did not, they can and will typically do this. Last winter, this happened to me. Incentives came out that were better (higher price per point off vs. developer points at SSR) and I was able to switch.

But, remember, it is only a better deal if you can use the cruise over the price discount you got.

This has happened to us a couple of times.

Disney makes us feel like they are offering the best deal and only for a limited time, then, depending on how their sales are doing, they will either raise the price or raise the price and offer another limited time incentive. Sometimes the next deal can be even better.

$112 for AKV or SSR...I didn't ask about VGC. And it's either/or not both. Currently it's $10 off at these two (at least it was on Monday)
