CSR - the new tower will not be DVC - it will have standard rooms, suites and club-Level access, new rooftop restaurant. Also will have new walk up service restaurant on the lake. We love the central location.
IMO CSR wins. We were trying to decide between the two for our trip in September. CBR while “refurbished” still has the old style beds with box springs (harder to check room for bed bugs) and carpet as well as just an outdated feel. CSR rooms are gorgeous and brand new and you have a couple of new restaurants opening this July. We were surprised they overhauled the whole resort (CBR)and didn’t update the rooms A big mistake IMHO.
For me, it would be CSR - especially when the over the water restaurant is complete. The resort was always very pretty but not it just seems so luxurious.
This is a good question. We've been looking again. And I am looking pretty hard at some of these moderates. My husband would rather just stay at the Contemporary again, but I feel like looking around a bit. I love to the look of the rooms at CSR. But I am not sure about the grounds there. The Mexican theme doesn't really do it for me. The colors at CBR are really beautiful but their rooms... I think the CSR kills CBR in that category. I don't think either beats the grounds at Riverside though...how beautiful their grounds are. I'll be interested to see their rooms after their soft goods refurbishment.
When are you going? The new tower and amenities at CSR open in July. I'd want to see reports of it before I stay there. If reports are good, that would my choice.
