Hello dis friends! Has anyone stayed there since it opened? If so, please share your thoughts and observations, especially your opinions on breakfast and walking distance from the park. Thank you!

Giving this post a bump. I think the website said they were accepting reservations for Sept 22 and beyond. I'm curious too if anyone has stayed here yet. I made a reservation here for November. I was hoping for the new Marriott Springhill Suites at the Convention Center, but the Hyatt Place was about a $100 less a night for basically all the same amenities.

Of course I haven't been to this one yet, but I do like the concept and the standard layout. I've only stayed at the locations in Roseville, CA and Rancho Cordova, CA, but they were basically the same other than location.

I would think there isn't much different about the layout and quality of construction. The blueprints are supposed to be identical. What might be different would be the employees and perhaps the food choices. It's definitely more in the "business casual" range, with desk clerks wearing orange T-shirts instead of something buttoned-up.

Recently stayed at Hyatt Place south of downtown Denver. I would highly recommend it! Large rooms, great staff, and the breakfast was good. ::yes:: All of the Hyatt hotels we have stayed at have been nice and comfortable, I am sure the new ones near DL will be as well.

Awesome, thanks ClosetDisneyJunkie! Always like to keep my hotel options open =)

We love Hyatt Places. The rooms have more space to spread out than most hotel rooms, and the breakfast is decent. All the ones we've stayed in have a bar in the lobby and cases with cookies, cupcakes, drinks, etc. Can't wait to check this one out.

We have stayed in them from coast to coast. Hungry but don't want a formal meal? Go to the bar and order the Nachos. popcorn::

I'm interested in hearing about this hotel too! I'm not going until Sept. 2015, but this hotel and the Springhill Suites on S. Harbor are already my top contenders. I LOVE that they have a kids' suite room option, with bunk beds! I called getawaytoday.com yesterday to see if they will be offering this hotel anytime soon. They said that they will be, but couldn't give me a date. I've found getawaytoday.com to have amazing deals on hotels, tickets, etc., so I'm hopeful they will have Hyatt Place for a great price as well!

I'd note that this bar isn't free. I mention that because the breakfast area is included.

I just checked the rate for July 13-18, 2015... maybe its because of the Disneyland Anniversary, but it was $209.00 plus tax, and $188.00 for AAA discount. Is this the norm, for a Hyatt Place? If so, it's higher than the old Hyatt! Yes, it includes breakfast...... but.;)

The best thing about the Hyatt place is the Big Screen TVs and the Plug and Play panels. They allow you to bring your lap top (good for DVDs) or game systems and play from the comfort of your own room.

Best part? If you have Vudu or Netflix Streaming you can stream both of those from your lap top and play movies on the big screen.

We are staying there at the end of this month. We decided to try it. We originally had plans at the Cortona inn and suites behind them. Hopefully we will like it. We are staying in a suite with bunk beds.

Hello Disfriends! I am the OP and have finally arrived at my vacation and the new Hyatt Place. We are absolutely loving it here. The room is big and is basically set up as two rooms with sliding, frosted window doors that provide privacy. We have a king bed and on the other side of the door, a beautiful sectional and bunk beds. Each room has an HD TV. There is plenty of storage and the bathroom is a nice size with tons of counter space. I absolutely love the modern aesthetic, the great artwork and calming colors.

Breakfast is great! Nothing is made to order but they have a great tasting sausage, egg scramble, oatmeal, bread, fruit, etc. the presentation is lovely and the space was clean and well maintained.

Service has been great! Everyone is welcoming and pleasant and you get the sense they are working hard to make this a competitive option.

We booked the room at a higher price but called a few days before to switch to a prepaid option that is a better deal. The third night was 50 percent off which brought the nightly rate to $125.

Did I mention the walk to the parks is doable? At the end of a long day it's a bit tough but our 9 and 11 year old did it. The best part about the location is the close proximity to Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles.

The only complaint is the frosted glass bathroom door. The light filters through and reflects off the tall mirror that is positioned right in front of the door. My husband complained about the light being in his face as I was getting ready.

Overall, I Highly recommend it. Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks for the review, Brancaneve! A few quick questions for you.

Does the ART stop at the hotel?

Does the hotel have a swimming pool/hot tub?? Is it indoors or outdoors?

How was the parking situation? Was it hard to find a spot?

Thank you!

Yes, ART stops at the hotel and they have passes for purchase at reception. However, the lady at reception said that there is a shuttle stop across the street at the stop light that is for overflow Disney parking. It's free and they never check to see if you actually parked there........we didn't try it.

Hotel has a swimming pool and hot tub but I didn't see the set up. I believe it's outside.

Parking is great! It is all underground and spaces aplenty!

Enjoy your stay. We loved it.
