New Hours for Animal Kingdom

Are the Animal Kingdom hours going to be late/evening hours every night? Or, only select nights?

I expect that with the limited seating, there's going to be 2 shows nightly, 7 days a week, from opening through the end of summer. I would expect the first show will probably start around 30 minutes after dark, with the 2 shows probably starting about 2 hours apart. I just wonder if they're going to throw in some atmosphere killing, carbon dioxide, sulphur dioxide spewing fireworks to cap off the show?

Announced today:starting on May 27th and through July 2nd Animal Kingdom will be open in the evenings until 11pm.

Rivers of Light? Tree of Light? Twilight Safari? - ONE CAN HOPE!!!!!!

Of course, two days after I leave. Luck of the draw.

I thought that they were releasing KS FP and more info on May 20...

They have already loaded later FP into the system for Dinosaur, Bug, some say Kali and primeval whirl. I also was able to get EE for 7:30-8:30 (though that's the latest I saw). So it seems they are NOT waiting til May 20th.

I'm thinking the first show as close to AT darkness at possible.

Basically my scheduling of FP is based on JB time. If I guess 8:30 or if I guess 9, it changes the times I need (want) to schedule my FP for - whoever they get released. I was originally thinking JB show at 8:30 bc of rumored ROL schedule but now I'm wondering if they will do 3 JB shows and if not, then would it push back first show to 9. Ugh.

So is your opinion it will be closer to 9, Robo?

I'm in the same boat. I have my FP+ picked for AK on 2 different nights, but I know I'll be rearranging them once they release FP+ for the JB show, KS After Dark, and later FP+ for EE (my latest EE right now is 7:30). I think they could start the 1st show at 9:00 -- that's when F! starts. So, I'm thinking 9:00 and 10:30 for the shows just like F! in the summer. We'll see... I think it's a given that anything I currently have scheduled as a FP+ will have to be rearranged once they finally release this info. I think I read they won't release this until 5/20, but that makes no sense to me that they can't do that for another month.

We're visiting in November............I'd be cool with 9pm at that time of the year. Here's hoping

Ya know............ given all that's going on the week we visit (Jersey Week).........4 nights of MVMCP, F&W festival..........you'd think the hours at HS and AK would move out at least a bit..........

We have the same time too for EE but I have not seen anything yet past 5:55 for Dino or Bug or anything else for that matter for our dates 6/4-6/10

Does anyone else feel like a jerk about extending AK park hours? I always thought they closed earlier for the animals well being. Now there's going to be lights shining in their habitats and shows and noise going on all around.

Not a bit.
For years after AK opened they had PM EMH at least once, if not twice a week.
It's only more recently that they have NOT been open after dark.

Disney is extremely conscientious about the care and wellbeing of the animals.

"RUMORED" show times are 8:30 PM,9:45 PM and possible third shows at 11:00 PM-time will tell.
