New holiday stage show about to open at HS (maybe)

This is a very unconfirmed rumor I heard this weekend... It came from someone I run into time to time and has been accurate in past insights so I'm passing it on.

My understanding is there is a lot of rehearsal going on for a new holiday stage show at hollywood studios featuring at least buzz lightyear.

That's everything I heard about it. I'm leaning towards he might have heard wrong because I can't see a new stage show coming out of nowhere.

Has anyone heard or seen hiring for this one?

I haven't seen anything. This would be pretty late for a Holiday show to start now.

Possibly like the dance parties that have happened in the past? There was usually some sort of choreography attached to those, and they popped up around Christmas
The Star Wars shows still have such a big draw to them, I don't see a Toy Story show replacing it any time soon.

I'm pretty sure SWAGS had a pretty big following but they didn't seem to have any trouble dropping that in favor of a (by all accounts less impressive) holiday show. Not saying the rumor is true, just that I wouldn't use that logic as a reason it wouldn't be true.

True, but in that case I think because Osborne is gone, Disney wanted something to do something for the holidays and the new show was that.

But JBJB is a holiday offering. We don't know yet, but it's possible Star Wars will be coming back in January. It happens all over the parks that regular offerings are swapped for holiday ones.

And I don't know that SWAGS had a big following - regular guests may have gone, but I don't know any locals that would go to Studios just for that show. It was a step down from the version of SItS that was showing earlier this year, and that was a step down from what was shown at SWW

Possibly a stronger one would be that SW is bringing guests to DHS right now. SW is what is making money over there. We are going into a time period that Iger has admitted will be tight, they really can't risk that guaranteed revenue.

I never did the villans party in HS. Does that have a stage show element to it? Maybe this is a replacement for that..

Yes that has a stage show element. However villains is still on going and has reservations up until January I believe.

yeah I just checked but only on weekends. could the setup be used for 2 different dinner shows? I'm wondering if it's not a holiday thing and just a new stage show.. timing would be right to be practicing now to take over at end of december.

Doubtful the entire inside is themed for the villains thing. I am sure they could do it I just don't see it being very likely.

Just an opinion.... I am not necessarily right, no one else is necessarily wrong.....

There is no HS. There is a distressed half baked construction zone that should likely just be shut down until it becomes a park. It is engaged in desperation actions to TRY to be of value. A half day park has become a 2 hour park..... with bulldozers.
