New HoJo Ent/AP rate dates opened up

This is correct technically. I will point out though that you can't book HOJOs for May right now. I was just talking to in-house reservations and checking dates and rates. The woman I spoke to explained to me that she could tell me the rates for April, but she couldn't actually book them for me until August. So I guess you can't book HOJOs further out than 8 months. When dates are available though, do as you say and book them using either the Entertainment or AP rate. Then keep your eye on the rates, and if they drop call and request an adjustment. I regularly re-check my dates because they seem to yo-yo a bit even if they don't come down to the very best rate possible. Sometimes I've booked months out and even though the best 50% discount never came up, prices have dropped $10 or $20 a night sometimes.

That's odd... I called last week and booked a kids suite for June 2011! She said that I could book them, but they would be at the highest rate because it's so far out there aren't deals yet. But she assured me that if I see a lower rate, I can call them and they will apply it to my reservation. Now I'm wondering if I need to be worried! I have a reservation # and everything though, so I'm pretty sure that I'm okay!

Weird. I was adjusting a couple reservations. Since I had them on the line anyway I tried to book some dates in April even though I'm not even sure we're going. She told me she couldn't book those for me until August because the system wouldn't let her.

Hmmmm... Maybe I better call back and make sure that they have my reservation! I think I'll wait and call in a month or two. That should still be plenty of time in advance to get the kind of room I want, but then it would be inside the window that they are telling you they can do it, just in case.

I'm pretty sure that someone else here already booked for May. I was asking if it was too early and someone (sorry, don't remember who!) told me that they had just called and booked for May. That was probably a month ago that they told me that.

yay- those are my sept dates- was booked somewhere else but will cancel now

anyone know if i can book online for the ent rate0 is there a code- I am in Australia so its a bit tricky to call.

You can book it online to make sure you get the room and then call during business hours to get the correct rate.

Well, if they told you they booked and gave you a confirmation number and everything, then I imagine you're fine. Maybe whoever I was talking to was working on old information. She never actually said she was trying to book my dates, just that she wouldn't be able to.

I'm also keeping fingers, toes, arms, and eyes crossed for everyone waiting for dates! :goodvibes

By the way- our In-House Reservations Office is open Monday-Friday from 9a-5p, and on Saturdays from 9a-1p.

I did want to mention that as long as you booked your rooms during the time that the full ET/AP Rate is available, we can go back and change the rate once we cross-reference with the calendar.

In other words- if you see that a new ET/AP calendar is posted online at 7p on a Saturday, you can book your dates online at www.hojoanaheim.com right away, and then call in to have the rates changed via In-House on Monday. As long as we can verify that the ET/AP rates were valid at the time of your booking- we can make those changes without a problem!

Do keep in mind that ET/AP availability for the full discounted rates can change - so if the rates you see posted on our Message Boards was last updated more than a few days prior to your time of booking- its possible that a new calendar was added and I just haven't had a chance to change it yet. [We usually get a new calendar about once a week, and although I try to get in to make changes ASAP- sometimes it may take me a day to get the new one up! So please bear with me on that!] :goodvibes

I hope that this helps explain the process a little bit more, and helps to give you guys some more options when you're booking these amazing rates!

We'll see you soon!

Wow Lorealle, thanks for that information!

I think that will be very helpful to those of us trying to get the rates and worrying because it is the weekend or evening.

I know the one time I forgot the hours and called at 2 pm on a Sat. :headache: So then I had to wait till Mon, which meant Mon afternoon after everything else was done, etc etc. Luckily I got the rate and no problems, but it's nice to know I could have booked it on-line and then called.

Does anyone have any idea when Aprils dates will be released??

Once they re released do I need to purchase both this yrs card to make the booking & next years card to present during our stay??

No, you do not need to purchase both cards. When you book, just ask for the entertainment rates; you do not need to have a card at the time of booking. Then make sure when you actually go that you have the current, valid entertainment card to show at check-in; the desk staff will ask to see it.

Great , thanks for the info
Am glad we don't have to buy 2 cards 

Does any1 have an idea when April / Mays dates will be released??
Whether generally these months get many dates offered at Ent rate?? Have noticed that certain months get allocated more dates than others

Any helps greatly appreciated 

If you are buying it for the entertainment card you can buy any book, and the card is the same in each one. Just buy the book that has the discounts you will use most.
So, wait - I can buy an Arizona book and use that card for the discount at HoJo's????

Awesome!!! Thanks for the clarification. :cool1:

Wow, so glad I checked this thread! We will be at Disney Sept 7-10. I just booked our HoJo room and ordered an Entertainment card on Ebay for $1.75 shipped. Looks like a great hotel for a great price for our Disneyland stay!

I bought the Entertainment card on Ebay. There's a sticker on it to activate it online. I'm assuming I have to activate it to make it valid, correct?

They don't check if it's been activated or not. They just need to see the card.

Hi feline figaro! :]

I never know quite when or if they're going to open new dates for the ET Discount- but I always make sure they're posted as soon as we get a new calendar- so bookmark this thread and keep checking! [We usually get a new calendar about once a week.]

Also- you can friend us on Facebook! I post a status update there when a new calendar comes out, too!

Hope this helps! :goodvibes
