New Hidden Mickey book - worth it?

We'd like to search for Hidden Mickeys while at WDW and saw that there was an updated Hidden Mickey book published earlier this year. Does anyone have it, and if so, is it useful? We've never tried to search for them before - so we're complete novices.

If you've not searched before, then the "world" is wide open to you.

Having this (or the first) book will be a big help in finding many "official" Hidden Mickeys.

Searching "free" is great fun, if you are constantly on the lookout.
But if you don't know "everywhere" to look, you'll miss plenty of them.

I think it is...it has two parts for each hidden mickey. one that tells you the general area and tht other that tells directly where to look and what the shape of the mickey is. My older DS enjoyed looking for them this year..everybody helped.

I recommend the book.. But let me warn you: Once you start looking for Hidden Mickeys, it's addicting! We carried the book with us and looked for Mickey in every ride and everywhere else.. (My daughter swears she recently saw some gum in the road that look like a Mickey)

I just bought this for DS9 for Christmas. Can't wait to see how he likes it! He enjoyed looking for hidden Mickeys in October, so I think he will like the book. I am TERRIBLE at finding them. Even when someone points directly at them, half the time I don't see them! Maybe I should read the book, too!

We have the book. It is a good size to bring along to the parks. It is not a complete list, or even close. It seems to try to give a few Mickey's for every attraction.

We are happy with the purchase and will bring it with us in Feb.

Thanks for all the replies!! I am going to get it...my family already thinks I'm obsessed with this trip (but I get this way about EVERY trip - not just WDW). I'm thinking of making a little contest on who can find the most hidden mickeys.

It is written by Steven Barrett, but it's the second edition copyright 2005. You can find it on Amazon for $9.56.
