Hello all - just discovered what the WISH board is all about...I'm so proud of all of you...you've made a decision that will change the rest of how you feel about your lives...and I need to make that decision too. I need to lose a lot of weight, and I have to be honest about it. 100 pounds. So after I log out, I'm going to the gym...for me. I hope its ok to post constantly!! Because:
Food = happy
DISBoards = Happier!!

Hi Mary Beth! :wave: Welcome to WISH! Yep, it's like an addiction, but an addiction of the best kind! There is so much support and friendliness on this board, you can't help but be addicted!

I have about 110 more pounds to lose! So we are both in this for the long haul! It really helps me to set small goals--the big goal can be kind of overwhelming at first! And congratulations on your decision to go to the gym! Exercise is soooo important in losing weight and getting healthy. Have you decided on an eating plan? It really helps to have a plan!

So, post to the Wish Challenge thread at the top of the page and grab your member clippie and you are ON YOUR WAY!! You'll be earning that 5lb clippie in no time!

Welcome to the DIS <b>DMickey28</b> and a very special welcome to WISH. I'm just so glad you found us.

When I started following the Atkins nutritional plan on January 9th I had <i>at least</i> 100 pounds to lose. Now, I have at least 58 pounds to lose :) There are other WISHers here who began with 100 <i>or more</i> pounds to lose. Don't let the amount of weight you need/want to lose discourage you. Choose smaller interim goals and it will make it easier for you.

Would you do me a favor and post to the WISH challenge thread too? Posting there makes you an official WISHer. You will find the Challenge thread right <b>HERE</b>.

You may add the WISH member clipart to your signature if you want. What we do is begin with a <b>zero loss</b> no matter how much weight we may have lost before taking the challenge and then every time we lose 5 pounds we get to "trade up" to a new clipart. It's lots of fun and quite motivating.

There is an excellent post by our own Wovenwonder telling you how to add the member clipart to your signature right <b>HERE</b>.

I'm just tickled that you are going to be part of my support group now. The WISH support group is just <b>magical</b>, so helpful and caring. We'll always be here for you if you need us. Never hesitate to ask for help.

WISH will work best for you if you participate often. Don't be shy, okay?
