Hello!

I am new here. We were unexpectedly given the opportunity to go to Disneyland! I have been there (21 + years ago) but dh and 3 kiddos have not. I am planning out the best way to go and mapping out the best way. I have seen that we will not be able to stay in one of the 'Disney' hotels,(although it would be cool, but that is not possible), but could manage a good neighbor hotel. We must fly as the train would take too long and driving is out as well (again, too long). We were looking at the Tropicana, as it is close and offers a free continental breakfast, but are open to other ideas. Any ideas or tips are always welcome! Btw, my kiddos are currently 11, 10 & 9 however after the first week of July we will have 12,10 and 9 and both of the younger ones have birthdays in August. We'd love to go before the youngest turns 10 (the end of August).

Thanks!
Dawn

Try to find some of Hydroguy's general planning posts at the top of the main page (they are stickied) to help you reacquaint yourself with the parks.

I have stayed at Tropicana during a last-minute trip and found it to be great - comfortable rooms with microwave and fridge, free parking, free continental breakfast, and great location. If you're not planning on really spending a lot of time in the hotel room, it's a great choice.
