Hi, I am new to the board but have been reading them and have gotten such great ideas for our upcoming trip. We are going to the PP on March 22-March 26. I know not the ideal time but our kids don't like missing school. I have some questions re: planning but don't have time to post now. So, just a quick question. We originally planned on driving down from SF area on Saturday and spending Sun, Mon, and Tues, in the parks. But then we got the 5 for 3 park hopper passes and hate to give up those 2 days. DH has to go back to work. I was thinking of staying myself with the 3 kids, ages 10,8, and 6. Is this crazy? Do you think I'd be able to find a hotel for Wed. and Thurs. night?

We are new to DLR as we are recent East Coast transplants. Not even sure how the drive will be from SF.

Thanks for all the great tips and stories. I am so excited to go. I can hardly think about anything else! :yay:

Not sure about Wed and Thurs night, but here's an idea - leave the Bay Area around midnight Friday, get into Anaheim around 7-8am on Saturday. Check into PP (they can at least store your luggage) then go into the park. You don't have to stay there the whole day, but enough so that you feel like you got your money's worth out of that day. :) Then you can enjoy full days for the rest of your time.

If I recall it isn't a bad drive, about 8 hours??
Anyway, I don't see why you can't just stay the extra days..did you want to leave the PP? Alot of people here seem to like theHoJo for off prorerty.
I would sure do it..by the time we are coming in May (14-17) all the good deals are over.

Sounds like a great idea. Regarding the motel, pick one near the crosswalk on Harbor (or Hojo's or Candy Cane). Hopefully someone can comment on availability or room rates.

A couple of thoughts:

Assuming you'll do a mid day break, that would be a great time to "move" from one hotel to another.

If you want to do MM/EE each day (including your last morning on Thurs.), be sure & use your PP priviledge on Sunday & Tuesday & your multi day park hopper priviledge on Thursday.

Good luck & have fun. :thumbsup2
