I have been a long time Disney fan. My great-grandfather worked for Disney and had many pieces of Disney movie memorabilia, stories, and his house was always filled with Mickey and his friends. If you've ever seen the Love Bug you've actually seen him! He was the hands that drove Herbie in most of the scenes!
His love for Disney rubbed off on me at an early age, and though I didn't have many chances as a child to visit Disneyland and Disney World I loved the times I did and vowed that would take my children as often as I could.
Fast forward to last year, I took my husband of five years to Disneyland for his very first time. It was the most magical thing to see him act like a kid, running around non-stop from rope drop to closing all three days we were there. On our way home he finally agreed with me that this was something our kids had to experience, and they needed to do it from the time they were little.
So, now we (or really "I") are busy planning our first family trip to Disney World! I have visited once before, as a performer in high school, but for my husband, and our 2 and 4 year old it will be the first time!
I swear my husband is tired of hearing about all my planning by now, so I decided I would join this board and have somewhere to voice all my excitement about our upcoming trip! We haven't booked yet, but we are looking at next fall!
So excited to be here!
